LEWISTOWN — A bridge rehabilitation project on Goodville Road in Juniata County is scheduled to begin Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The project will involve a full bridge deck replacement on the bridge carrying Route 2028 (Goodville Road) over Dutchman Run in Greenwood Township.

PennDOT said the work is intended to improve the safety and ride quality of the structure.

Beginning May 26, an approximately nine-mile detour will be in place around the bridge using routes 235, 333 and 2017 (Evendale Hill Road).

PennDOT maintenance crews will complete the work, which is expected to continue through July.
