Criminal mischief-10:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.-July 23 – July 24-Police report investigating an incident at 7 Main St. in Mifflin. Police report unknown actor(s) punctured a hole in the victim’s rear passenger window on the driver’s side of the vehicle causing it to shatter. Anyone with information relating to this incident should contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.
Harassment-6 p.m.-July 23-Police report investigating an incident at a residence on Winding Creek Road in Fermanagh Township, where a 32-year-old female reported being harassed by a 21-year-old male.
Burglary-9 a.m. – 12 p.m.-Police report unknown actor(s) attempted to enter into a hog barn owned by Delbert Swartz, 58, of Thompsontown. According to police, the actor(s) attempted to gain entry through the doors on the north and south side of the building, damaging the doors. DUI-10:58 p.m.-July 22-Police report stopping a 57-year-old Burnham man for a summary traffic violation and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. The investigation is ongoing pending blood alcohol content results.
Theft-7 p.m.-July 16-Police report investigating a theft at the residence of Janetta Blanche Swartz, 65, of Port Royal, where a bottle of percocet went missing and four pills were taken.

DUI-12:33 a.m.-July 3-Police report conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle showing an expired registration on Route 322 West at the Reedsville exit ramp in Brown Township. The investigation found Stephanie Durst, 40, of Milroy, to be under the influence of alcohol. Durst was arrested for DUI.
Theft-5 p.m. – 11 p.m.-July 7-Police report being contacted by Crystal James, 36, of Lewistown, about a stolen vehicle registration plate taken from her 2001 Hyundai Accent GL at the community building parking lot at 80 First St., Juniata Terrace. The stolen plate is PA Registration JHM0628. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010. The investigation continues.
Harassment-3 p.m.-July 9-Police report investigating an incident at 22 Barber Shop Lane, in Oliver Township. Police report during a physical altercation Donald Varner, 54, of McVeytown, grabbed the wrist of a 53-year-old female, of McVeytown.
Harassment-9:50 p.m.-July 24-Police report investigating an incident at a residence on Terrace Boulevard, in Lewistown. According to police, a 41-year-old male reported being harassed by a 19-year-old male. The accused will receive a citation.
Harassment-4:32 p.m.-July 22-Police report investigating an incident at a residence on Water Street, in Monroe Township. According to police, a 46-year-old male reported being harassed by a 25-year-old and 26-year-old male. The accused will receive a
citation.

Crash-5:02 a.m.-July 7-Police report investigating an accident on Route 747 north of Willow Springs Road in Cromwell Township, Huntingdon County. Police report Gladys Lane, 73, of Three Springs, was traveling north on Route 747 in a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am when she crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2002 Subaru Outback driven by Fred Neville, 45, of Mount Union. Neville was uninjured as a result of the accident. Lane was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained injury.

Crash-11:05 a.m.-July 25-Police report investigating an accident on Route 522 in Spring Township. According to police, Victoria Barger, 31, of McClure, was operating a 2006 Jeep Liberty standing in the travel lane waiting to make a righthand turn into Saylor’s Market. Meanwhile, Harrison Bates, 30, of Sicklerville, was driving a 2015 Volvo D13 and failed to stop rear-ending Barger. After impact, Barger’s vehicle was forced forward overturning several times and striking a sign and shrubbery. Barger’s vehicle came to rest on it’s roof in a private lot.

Criminal Mischief – 10 p.m.-4:30 a.m. – July 7-8 – Police report investigating an incident at 39 Delmar Lane in Thompsontown in which unknown actor(s) damaged a window frame and removed two screens from a barn. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.
Criminal Mischief – 7:30 p.m.-9 a.m. – July 9-10 – Police report investigating an incident at a residence on Narket Street in Port Royal where unknown actor(s) punctured a tire and scratched the paint on the vehicle of Timothy Shope, 54, of Port Royal. Burglary – May 15-June 15 – Police report investigating an incident at 220 Foster St. in Walker Township. Police report that in the aforementioned time frame unknown actor(s) entered the residence of Patricia Henry, 86, of Mifflintown, and stole various items. Theft – June 20-21 – Police report investigating an incident at 21879 Route 333 in Delaware Township in which unknown actor(s) entered onto the property of Carrie Varner, 28, of Thompsontown, and stole a pink Vera Bradley purse containing money and various credit cards from a gray 2011 Ford Fusion. The actor(s) made a purchase in the amount of $350 with a Capital One credit card stolen from the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.
Theft – June 21-22 – Police report investigating an incident at 20920 Route 333 in Delaware Township in which unknown actor(s) stole 5 gallons of gas from a vehicle of Alfred Yoder, 62, of Thompsontown. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.
Hit and run – 5:10 p.m. – July 18 – Police report investigating an incident in which an unknown driver was traveling south on Route 522 north near Mattern Lane, Decater Township, and left the roadway striking the guide wire to a utility pole. The actor then fled the scene of the accident.
Public drunkenness/underage consumption – 12:05 a.m. – July 17 – Police report a 20-year-old male from Port Royal, was observed staggering on the sidewalk in the area of 302 Market St., Port Royal. The accused was charged with public drunkeness and underage consumption of alcohol as a result of further investigation into the incident.

Crash – 7:12 p.m. – July 15 – Police report responding to an accident on Greenwood Road west of Brush Ridge Road in Jackson Township, Huntingdon County. According to police Emily Landis, 22, of McAlisterville, was traveling westbound on Greenwood Road when she lost control of her 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail. The car continued over the guardrail striking a tree and coming to a final rest. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. Landis was cited for driving vehicle at safe speed.

Crash – 4 a.m. – July 20 – Police report investigating a one vehicle accident on Greenhouse Road north of Deerwood Lane in Franklin Township, Snyder County. According to police, Christopher Trawitz Jr., 22, of Middleburg, was traveling west on Greenhouse Road when he fell asleep causing him to lose control of his 2008 Toyota. Trawitz left the roadway striking a tree. Trawitz was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was not injured.

Crash – 8:55 a.m. – July 20 – Police report responding to a two vehicle crash on South Dorcas Street near East Market Street. Police report Dylan Miller, of Reedsville, was traveling south of Dorcas Street in a Chevy Tahoe and failed to stop at the red light. Meanwhile, Teresa Blessing, of McVeytown, driving a Ford Van entered the intersection while having a green light and struck Miller’s vehicle on the passenger side causing it to roll over onto it’s roof. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported.

Theft – 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. – July 16-17 – Police report investigating an incident of theft when unknown actor(s) removed a bike from the front porch of a residence at 16 Railroad Street, McClure. The bike was subsequently recovered across the street.
Criminal mischief – 12:00-4:00 p.m. – July 14 – Police report investigating an incident along Route 104 in Perry Township in which a window at the residence of John Renninger, of Richfield, was broken by an unknown object.
Theft – 12:00 p.m.-12:00 p.m. – July 5-July 8 – Police report being contacted by Stanford Haines III, 45, of Milroy, to report a motorized bike was taken from his residence at 5203 New Lancaster Valley Road in West Beaver Township. The bike is thought to be a 70CC Baja. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call PSP Selinsgrove at (570) 374-8145.

Crash – 9:30 a.m. – July 16 – Police report investigating a two-vehicle accident on Route 22 West, south of Owl Hollow Road. Police report that Wade Stahr, 48, of McAlisterville, was traveling east on Route 22/322 in a 2015 Ford F250 in the right lane. Addison Tharp, 20, of Hanover, was traveling east on Route 22/322 in a 2009 mini Cooper in the left lane. Tharp attempted to change lanes, striking a trailer Stahr was towing, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. Tharp’s vehicle then struck a guard rail along the right side of the roadway before coming to rest against it. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Crash – 8:20 p.m. – June 29 – Police report responding to an accident at the intersection of Red Hill Road and East Shortcut Road in Howe Township. According to police, David Snyder, 37, and his passenger, Winnona Snyder, 41, both of Lewistown, were stopped at the intersection in a 2016 Dodge Ram waiting to proceed onto West Shortcut Road when Stephen Szwajkowski, 51, and his passenger, Ann Szwajkowski, 49, both of Millerstown, approached the intersection in a 2013 Triumph traveling south on Red Hill Road. Snyder began to cross Red Hill Road and proceed onto West Shortcut Road. The report states Szwajkowski attempted to avoid impacting Snyder’s vehicle by immediately applying the brakes and redirecting the vehicle to the right shoulder of the roadway.
Szwajkowski was unable to avoid collision and impacted with the rear of Snyder’s truck. Szwajkowski and his passenger sustained minor injuries. Snyder was charged in the incident.

Theft – 8 a..m.-6 p.m.- June 27 -Police report investigating an incident at 6770 William Penn Highway in Walker Township. Police report that unknown actor(s) removed a canine from the yard of Aaron Prye, 22, of Mexico, and then fled in an unknown direction. The dog is described as a 4- to 5-month-old female Beagle/Blue Tick mix that is black, white and brindle in color. Burglary – 2 p.m. – June 29 – Police report investigating a burglary at the residence of Norm Book, 86, of Port Royal. Police report that unknown actor(s) entered the residence by unknown method and stole various items from inside the home. Animal cruelty – July 6 – Police report a dog was found in the woods, off the roadway of Strong’s Improvement Road, Armagh Township, with a bullet hole in the head. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.
Aggravated assault – 10:46 p.m. – June 20 – Police report investigating an incident in front of a residence at 123 Apple St., apartment 20, in Milford Township. According to police, Clifford Trego, 66, of Mifflin, was struck multiple times in the face which resulted in serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital. The accused, Trenten Dalton, 18, of Mifflin, was subsequently charged with aggravated assault.
Found item – 4:28 p.m. – July 11 – Police report being contacted about a Mongoose bicycle found in the location of Back Maitland Road at Mountain Springs Road in Decatur Township. Anyone with information about the bicycle is asked to contact PSP Lewistown 320-1010.
Disorderly conduct – 3:27 p.m. – July 8 – Police report responding to 2931 Academia Road, Beale Township, to investigate an act of disorderly contact. The accused, Gary Lee Hockenberry, was cited for disorderly conduct.
Cruelty to animals – 2:33 p.m. – July 9 – Police report investigating a report of cruelty to animals at 10 Warton Road, Wayne Township. Police report that upon arrival on the scene, cats were observed to be locked in the residence for an extended period of time. The cats did not have adequate food, water, or care. Two cats died as a result. A non-traffic citation was issued for cruelty to animals.

Hit and Run-1 a.m.-July 7-Police report being called to investigate a crash, which occurred on the Juniata Parkway East in Howe Township, Perry County. According to police, Shannon Mutzabaugh, 38, of Millerstown, lost control of her 2003 Pontiac Montana and traveled to the left shoulder of the roadway. Mutzabaugh then struck an embankment and continued forward, struck a second embankment and came to a rest facing in a easterly direction. Mutzgabaugh was not injured as a result of the crash. Police suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Burglary-June 28 – 30-police report investigating a burglary, which occurred at a residence on West Juniata Parkway in Greenwood Township, Perry County. According to police, an unknown suspect entered the residence of a Millerstown woman and removed a glass jar with a dark green lid, which contained approximately $140. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation continues.

Theft-9 p.m. – 2 a.m.-July 2- July 3-Police report investigating a theft from a Montero vehicle belonging to a 31-year-old female from Mount Union. A black Coogi purse, money and a Samsung S3 were taken from the vehicle. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Huntingdon at (814)627-3161.
Disorderly Conduct-12:36 a.m.-July 10-Police report during the listed date and time Rodney Lee Chilcote, 54, was found attempting and/or acting as though he was jumping in front of traffic traveling east on William Penn Highway in the area of the County Line Bar in Wayne Township, Mifflin County. Chilcote was transported to JC Blair Hospital for a mental health evaluation. Chilcote was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Crash-2:52 a.m.-July 8-Police report investigating a one vehicle crash on Route 22 in Fermanagh Township, Juniata County. According to police, Zane Frey, 21, of Lewistown, was driving a 1993 Ford Probe when he fell asleep and crashed into a concrete barrier. Frey was wearing his seat belt and was uninjured as a result of the crash.
Theft- 4- 4:30 p.m.-July 7-Police report investigating an incident at a residence along Texas Park Drive in Delaware Township, Juniata County. According to police, unknown actor(s) arrived at the residence and entered a 1998 Dodge Durango owned by Leanna Hornberger, 21, of Thompsontown, and stole a pink camo wallet containing $50 in cash and Hornberger’s driver licence and debit card. The actor(s) then fled the scene by unknown means, in an unknown direction, undetected. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact PSP Lewistown at 320-1010.
DUI-2 a.m.-June 26-Police report conducting a traffic stop at the Caldwell Hill exit of Route 522 in Granville Township where Dylan Robert Cameron, 23, of Lewistown, was found to be driving under the influence.
DUI-2:16 a.m.-June 24-Police report encountering Russell Dale Shank Jr., 25, on West Market Street near South Wayne Street in Lewistown. Shank showed signs of impairment and was subsequently taken into police custody for driving under the influence.
Drug possession-June 25-Police report conducting a traffic stop on Chelsea Leigh Lanish, 23, of New York, New York, on Route 322 west at the Lewistown exit. Police report drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized from the vehicle.
Theft-4:37 a.m.-June 12-Police report on Franks Lane, Decatur Township, two traffic signs were seized from Kolby Nace, 24, of Lewistown.
DUI/Act 64-4:20 a.m.-April 27-Police report responding to a complaint of an erratic driver on Route 322/22 west just east of Port Royal in Walker Township. Upon arrival on the scene the vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted. A 32-year-old Male from Lewistown was determined to be under the influence of an unknown drug. During the investigation police report a needle was observed on the floor boards of the truck and the vehicle was seized pending retrieval of a search warrant.
Simple assault-10:40 p.m.-June 17-Police report responding to an incident at 312 Gill Road in Walker Township in which a 43-year-old male and a 40-year-old female, both of Mifflintown, entered into a verbal altercation that turned physical. During the investigation drugs were discovered in a shed at the rear of the Males residence. Charges for simple assault, harassment and Act 64 violations were filed.
Crash-12:17 p.m.-June 28-Police report investigating a two vehicle crash on Milroy Road in Armagh Township. According to police Mark Carter, 40, of Milroy, was driving a 2006 Chevy Silverado and began to slow for a buggy that was traveling in the westbound lane. Austin Vargas, 19, of Yeagertown, was traveling west on Milroy Road in a 1991 BMW 325I and rear ended Carter. No injuries were reported.

Public drunkeness-July 3-Police report citing Bradley Young, 43, of Lewistown, for public drunkeness after finding him walking down the travel lanes of Route 103 north highly intoxicated. Young was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

Retail Theft-12:39 p.m.-July 6-Police report being contacted by Kohl’s store at Monroe Market Place in Monroe Township, Snyder County, regarding an incident of retail theft of clothing valued at $34.98. Police report locating the accused, Gerald Isaac Zimmerman, 22, of McClure, in the Susquehanna Valley Mall parking lot. Zimmerman was charged with retail theft.

Act 64-2:36 p.m.-July 1-Police report arresting Robert Sean Spaid, 30, of Mount Union, at 102 W. Garber St. in Mount Union on a warrant and was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

DUI-2:11 a.m.-June 13-Police report conducting a traffic stop on Route 522 at the Route 322 exit in Derry Township when they stopped David Grego, 28, of Lewistown, driving under the influence.
Theft-12 p.m.- 9 p.m.- June 4 – June 5-Police report beginning an investigation concerning unauthorized transactions from debit card account of Tonya Sheeler, 35, of Mount Union. The debit card was reported stolen from a private residence in Wayne Township. The investigation continues.
DUI-2:06 a.m.-June 11-Police report conducting a traffic stop on Route 522 approximately 1 mile south of the Electric Avenue exit in Granville Township. During the traffic stop police found Joshua Shelton Hobbs, of Lewistown, to be driving under the influence.
Simple assault-2:03 a.m.-June 26-Police report investigating a domestic related assault, which occurred on Back Maitland Road in Lewistown. Police report Garrett Scott Snyder, of Lewistown, was taken into custody on charges of simple assault and harassment.

Simple assault-1 p.m.-June 19-Police report at a residence on Market Street, in Millerstown, the accused Henry Peight, 29, of Millerstown, threw the 33-year-old woman of Millerstown, down and started to drag her across the bedroom floor. Peight was charged with simple assault and harassment.

Firearms violation-5:33 p.m.-June 3-Police report Katherine Vazquez, 34, of Middleburg, arrived at PSP Selinsgrove station with a friend to report a separate incident. Once Vazquez’s friend was arrested for DUI at the station, Vazquez then left the station operating the same vehicle. Upon the traffic stop with Vazquez, a loaded 9mm handgun was in plain view on the floor of the vehicle. Vazquez was subsequently arrested.

DUI-7:05 a.m.-June 29-Police report conducting a DUI investigation on the 8400 block of the William Penn Highway in Porter Township, Huntingdon County. Police identified Jason Nathaniel Zook, 38, of Upper Glen Road, Lewistown, as the driver of the vehicle and showed signs of impairment. Zook was arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Disorderly Conduct-2:20 p.m.-June 2-Police report investigating an act of disorderly conduct at Tom’s Travel Center in Armagh Township, Mifflin County. The investigation showed Bradley Parson, 32, of Lewistown, and Raymond Altiery, 59, of Reedsville, engaged in a threatening and violent altercation after a minor traffic crash at the location. Both were cited for disorderly conduct.
Theft of Services-June 8-Police report responding to 183 Water St., Monroe Township, Juniata County, for a report of theft of services. Police report John Willow, 67, of Richfield, related that actor(s) are dumping their household trash into the dumpster outside of his residence. Through investigation, the actor was identified as Eric Wade Rhodes, 27, of Richfield. A non-traffic citation was filed through district court.
Harassment-1:39 p.m.-June 3-Police report responding to Locke Mills Road, in Armagh Township, Mifflin County, for a report of an argument between two parties. Police report Robert Stringer, 37, of Milroy, and Douglas Stringer, 43, of Milroy, were both cited for harassment.
