Wayne K. Riden, 79, of Milroy, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Born Oct. 19, 1946, in Siglerville, he was the son of the late Charles “Duke” Riden and Beatrice T. (Wagner) Riden Deamer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose M. (Marker) Riden, whom he married on April 6, 1984, as well as his sisters, Phyllis Yetter and Teri Smith.
Wayne is survived by his siblings: Charles Riden, Rodney Riden, Carol Zook, and Barry Deamer; along with many nieces, nephews, and their extended families, all of whom he cherished deeply.
Wayne was a 1965 graduate of Chief Logan Joint High School.
Earlier in life, Wayne worked at Philips Ultrasound where he later retired. He was a member of various social clubs.
Wayne lived a life full of simple joys. He loved playing slow-pitch softball, listening to old-time country music, and spending time online often sending humorous, inspirational, and sometimes wonderfully quirky emails to friends and family. He adored his cats and treasured every moment spent with those he loved. His hearty laugh, his ornery yet gentle spirit, and his warm presence will be remembered by all who knew him.
He was well known for his generous heart, giving regularly to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and various children’s charities.
Per his wishes, no services to be held.
Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
