Ellen A. Gray
Ellen A. Gray, 70, of Lewistown, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on Feb. 22, 1956, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Atha (McKnight) DeArment.
Ellen is survived by her beloved husband, Cornelius Gray, whom she married on Nov. 27, 1976. Together they shared nearly 50 years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughters, Lauren Johnson and her husband, Jason, of Burnham, and Sandra Gray, of Lewistown; her sister, Valerie DeArment, of Burnham; and her niece and nephew, Rowan and Derek Mowry.
Ellen was employed by General Electric for 33 years as an administrative secretary. She later continued her career at Frey Motors, where she also served as an administrative secretary until her retirement in 2023.
Faith was at the center of Ellen’s life. She was a devoted member of Freedom Avenue United Methodist Church in Burnham, where she faithfully served her church family in many capacities throughout the years. She shared her musical talents as the church pianist, sang in the choir, volunteered with Vacation Bible School, and served as church secretary. Ellen had a lifelong love of music and found great joy in playing the piano whenever she had the opportunity.
A closed-casket visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville. A funeral service celebrating Ellen’s life will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Nellie Cloninger officiating.
