I just saw a young man at the intersection by Bing’s Diner on a motorcycle who parked his motorcycle in the middle of the intersection to help a half-grown cat that got hit get off the road. (It) couldn’t hardly walk; it was dragging itself. He then said he was (going to) try and see what he could do with the cat, take it somewhere to see if they could save it or not. (Kind of) shocks me the way the young kids are nowadays. Most of them wouldn’t do that. They’d run over it themselves, but… I thought that was just… something that you don’t see very often, and… not all kids are as bad as what I was thinking they were.
The celebration held in McAlisterville, celebrating 250 years in Juniata County, was outstanding. From the many reactors and musicians, to the colorful fireworks. It was (a) very educational, social, and fun day.
It feels really good to be able to buy gas in Mifflin County again… Always had to go to Snyder County to get it because of the prices here.
I’d like to thank the man that helped me pay for my air conditioner at Lowe’s last week. And I want (him) to know I will pay it forward.
