Police Department
DUI – 11:15 a.m. – June 8 – Police said Rex Gibbons, 53, of Blairs Mills, backed into another vehicle on South Division Street in front of the Mount Union Ambulance building. According to a report, Gibbons was found to have a blood alcohol content of .110 percent. Police said charges of driving under the influence and careless driving have been filed against Gibbons.
Arrest – 12:15 p.m. – June 19 – Police said they stopped a vehicle with an expired registration, driven by Tyler Atherton. According to a report, it was determined that Atherton was wanted by Huntingdon County Probation for a probation violation. Police said Atherton was placed in the Huntingdon County Jail and received several traffic citations as a result of the traffic stop.
Warrant service – 7:45 p.m. – June 19 – Police said they were sent to 125 W. Walnut St. for a report of disorderly conduct. According to a report, upon investigation it was determined that there were active warrants for Kaleb Varner who was involved in the altercation. Police said Varner was arrested and placed in the Huntingdon County Jail.
Possession of a controlled substance – 8:05 a.m. – June 28 -Police said officers observed David Spurlin, 23, of Mount Union, in the area of Wrangletown Road and East Shirley Street. According to a report, there was an active warrant out for Spurlin’s arrest and they took him into custody. Police said during a search of Spurlin, a quantity of heroin was discovered in his pocket as well as drug paraphernalia and $350 in cash. According to the report, the items were taken and Spurlin was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said Spurlin was arraigned before a magisterial district judge and the placed in the Huntingdon County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Theft – Aug. 1, 2013 – June 14, 2014 – Police said someone stole gardening tools, lawn mowers, propane tanks, a microwave and a generator from a property belonging to Jennifer Brinton’s late father at 304 Aqueduct Rd., Wayne Township. Anyone with information should call 320-1010.
Criminal mischief – Feb. 6 – May 20 – Police said someone poured an unknown substance into the fuel of a vehicle belonging to Crystal Diehl, of Lewistown, ruining the vehicle’s motor. Anyone with information should call 320-1010.
Theft – May 1 – June 17 – Police said someone stole an aluminum extension ladder from 40 McDowell St., Wayne Township, owned by Shirley Sunderland, of Mount Union. Anyone with information should call 320-1010.
Harassment – 1 p.m. – June 22 – Police said a 19-year-old Mifflin woman threw a drink at a 21-year-old Mifflintown man, who was seated in his car at the McDonald’s drive-through in Fermanagh Township. According to a report, the male threw the drink back at the woman, who was working as a cashier. Police said both were cited for disorderly conduct through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.
Megan’s law violation – June 24 – Police said Paul Leroy Kirchoff II, 27, relocated to a residence on Chestnut Street, Lewistown, and failed to notify police of his new residence. According to a report, Kirchoff was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jack Miller and was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail.

Theft – June 24 – Police said Zane Michael Reed, 23, was seen stealing two cases of paper towels from the Dollar General on North Logan Boulevard in Burnham. Police said they saw Reed place the items in his vehicle then drive away. Police said Reed was cited for retail theft.
DUI – June 25 – Police said Ray North, of Reedsville, was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop in Yeagertown. Police said North was seen driving erractically and he stopped in the middle of a bridge and turned on his right turn signal. Police said there was no where for him to turn where he stopped.
Criminal mischief – June 26 – Police said a 17-year-old male, of Burnham, was arrested after a month long investigation into graffiti. Police said he wrote “Crave” on various buildings in Burnham including the Shoemaker house, the old Caesar house, Ollies, the post office, and a parked tractor trailer. Police said he was cited for criminal mischief through Magisterial District Judge Aaron L. Gingrich’s office.

Criminal mischief – June 22-23 – Police said someone threw something that broke a window at a 45-year-old woman’s residence along Woodward Lane, Fayette Township. Anyone with information is asked to call 320-1010.
Crash – 11:04 p.m. – June 25 – Police said a 2008 black Dodge pick-up truck, driven by a 50-year-old Mifflin man, hit a yield sign while entering the traffic circle at the intersection of William Penn Highway and state Route 35, Fermanagh Township. According to the report, the Dodge traveled across the concrete center median and hit a 1998 green Ford Explorer driven by a 41-year-old woman. Police said the Dodge continued across the center of the traffic circle and off the southern berm, hitting several trees. According to the report, the Dodge came to a stop in the treeline and the Ford stopped on the berm of William Penn Highway. Police said the driver of the Dodge was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and was taken to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for a blood test. According to the report, the driver of the Ford and her passenger, a 52-year-old male of Mifflintown, had minor injuries as a result of the accident. Police were assisted by Central Juniata EMS and Mifflintown Volunteer Fire Department.

Found property – 10:42 a.m. – June 24 – Police said a cell phone was found along East Industrial Park Road, Fermanagh Township. The owner of the phone can claim it at the barracks at 34 Arch Rock Road, Mifflintown.
Harassment 11:50 a.m. – June 24 – Police said Donovan Nicholas Decicco allegedly grabbed a 43-year-old woman by the arm during an argument at 111 N. Main St., Mifflintown. According to a report, Decicco is being charged with harassment.

DUI – 2:07 a.m. – June 21 – Police said Sara Matter, 23, of Millerstown, was driving a 1998 Mercury Tracer with a flat tire west on Juniata Parkway in the area of Perry Valley Road, Greenwood Township. According to a report, she lost control of the vehicle and traveled across the opposing lane, off the western shoulder of the road and down an embankment. Police said the car landed on the driver’s side, slid over low-cut tree stumps and almost hit a telephone pole before coming to a stop in a grassy area next to the road. Police said charges are pending results of Matter’s blood work.

Assault – 1:45 p.m. – June 10 – Police said a 15-year-old male was charged with indecent assault and harassment after a report of sexual assault on North Shaver Street.
Disorderly conduct – 1 a.m. – June 13 – Police encountered an intoxicated male on North Jefferson Street. According to a report, a 17-year-old Mount Union male will receive a citation for public drunkenness and was transported to his residence where he was released to his mother.
Disorderly conduct 8:04 p.m. – June 13 – Police investigated a report of individuals throwing prophylactics full of white powder at other individuals in the area of Hartman Village. According to a report, two Huntingdon boys, ages 15 and 16, were cited by police for disorderly conduct. Police said the white powder was found to be corn starch.

Harassment – 8-11:59 p.m. – June 19 – Police said a 36-year-old male grabbed a 23-year-old, of Millerstown, by her left arm and pulled her out of the car at 780 Orchard Road, Millerstown. According to a report, after pulling the woman from the vehicle the man pushed the woman to the ground. Police said the man will be charged with harassment through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.
Theft – 5:30 p.m. June 20- 2:30 a.m. June 21 – Police said unknown suspects removed a window-mounted air conditioner from 50 U.S. Highway 522 in Wayne Township, belonging to Melissa Staley, 41, of Mount Union. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 320-1010.
Aggravated assault – 1:08 a.m. – June 22 – Police said a 21-year-old Port Royal man shoved a 21-year-old Mifflintown woman to the ground and then sliced a 28-year-old Mifflintown man twice with a knife on Washington Avenue, Mifflintown Borough. According to a report, the Port Royal man was taken into custody and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on $25,000 bail and charges were filed on him through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.
Act 64 – 1:41 a.m. – June 22 – Police said a 25-year-old Burnham man told police he was involved in a hit-and-run crash earlier that evening while at Kline’s Market in McVeytown. According to a report, while searching the vehicle the man was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller’s office.

Accident – 5:05 p.m. – June 7 – Police said a Pontiac driven by Nicole Barcelona, 22, of Mount Union, was hit by an older model blue Hyundai that fled the scene at the intersection of North Jefferson nd West Shirley streets in Mount Union.
Criminal trespass – 1:45 a.m. – June 8 – Police said they saw several individuals riding four-wheelers along the railroad tracks in Mount Union that are owned and operated by Norfolk Southern. According to a report, police stopped and identified one of the individuals as Steven Kershaw, 34, of McVeytown, who was found to be intoxicated. Police said Kershaw was cited for criminal trespass and public drunkenness.
Domestic disturbance – 1:12 p.m. – June 8 – Police said a violation of a court order was reported to police and it was determined that Corey Dixon, 37, of Mount Union, violated the order by having unlawful contact with the plaintiff. According to a report, police have filed charges of criminal contempt against Dixon and currently have a warrant for his arrest. Failure to comply with sexual offender registration – May 29 – Police said they received information from the Juniata County Probation Department regarding Onyx Mojica, a registered sexual offender and is considered a sexually violent predator. According to a report, Mojica obtained employment on May 26 and failed to notify the state police within three business days as required by law. Police said Mojica also failed to appear for four state-mandated counseling sessions between April 7 and June 9. According to a report, Mojica was charged with failure to comply with registration of sexual offender requirements, a second-degree felony, and failure to comply with registration requirements counseling, a fisrt-degree misdemeanor. Police said Mojica was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Disorderly conduct – 1 p.m. – June 9 – Police said Tina Szada, 41, of Derry Township, was cited for disorderly conduct after she fought with another woman in Lewistown.
Public drunkenness – Midnight – June 9 – Police said Ronald Everly, 69, of Granville Township, was arrested after he was found in a business parking lot in Lewistown under the influence of alcohol. According to a report, Everly was taken to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Theft – June 10 – Police said officers responded to a location on South Juniata Street in Lewistown for a report of a female having her purse taken and money stolen. According to a report, the purse was later located at a house next door but without the money that had been inside. Police said Jillian Wilson, 29, of Lewistown, was charged with the theft of the purse and money.
Public drunkenness – 3 p.m. – June 12 – Police said Jillian Wilson, 29, of Lewistown, was arrested for public intoxication on Valley Street in Lewistown.

Theft – 5 p.m. – June 3 – Police said $1,000 in cash was missing from a wallet at 40 E. Shirley St. in Mount Union. According to a report, charges of theft and receiving stolen property were filed against Chelsea Mease, 20, of Mount Union.

Theft by deception – May 3 – Police said Robert and Sandra Linn, of Bellefonte, hired Robert A. Kolovich, 56, of Northumberland, to replace a deck at their residence in Walker Township, Centre County. According to a report, the couple gave Kolovich a down payment of $6,700, but he allegedly never showed up to do the work and failed to return their money. Police said Kolovich was charged with one felony count of home improvement fraud and two felony counts of theft by deception. According to the report, an arrest warrant was obtained for Kolovich. Police said Kolovich has been charged with similar incidents in other counties across Pennsylvania and there is a possibility for other victims in the area. Police said anyone who believes they are a victim should contact their local police department.

- Traffic hazard – 7:20 a.m. – June 2 – Police said it was reported that someone moved the road closure signs at the intersection of East Pennsylvania Avenue and North Division Street, Mount Union. Signs were moved back by police.
- Suspicious activity – 11:25 p.m. – June 1 – Police said they encountered several individuals trespassing in the dugout at Mount Union Little League Fields. According to the report, police warned the individuals to stay off the fields after closing times.
- Civil complaint – 9:41 p.m. – June 1 – Police said they investigated a child custody dispute on West Milford Street, Mount Union.
- Harassment – 6:35 a.m. – June 1 – Police said they investigated a report of harassment by communications on West Vandevender Street, Mount Union. According to the report, the individual was warned to cease contact with the victim.

- Disorderly conduct- 8 a.m. – May 16 – Police said they responded to Greenwood Middle School, Millerstown Borough, Perry County, for a report of a pocket knife on school property. Police said they are investigating.
- Crash – 1:45 p.m. – June 16 – Police said a 2008 Kia Sedona driven by Richard Boyer Jr., 42, of Enola, was stopped in traffic at Juniata Parkway West, Greenwood Township, Perry County, intending to turn left into the Millerstown Moose. According to the report, Kara Donaldson, 20, of Millerstown approached from behind in a 2012 Honda Civic and hit the Kia. Police said Boyer and Donaldson were both wearing seat belts and were not injured in the crash. According to the report, the Honda Civic sustained moderate front end damage and had to be towed from the scene. Police said the Kia Sedona sustained moderate rear damage.

- Retail theft – 2:17 p.m. – June 13 – Police said Anna P. Posey and Jessica L. Cave, both of Mount Union, attempted to steal $95.80 each worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart located at 6716 Towne Center Blvd., Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County. According to the report, charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Richard S. Wilt’s office.

Assault – 10:45 p.m. – May 28 – Police said Laura Long, 21, of Mount Union, was found intoxicated and screaming in the area of North Division Street and East Sherman Street, Mount Union. According to the report, while attempting to take Long into custody, Long is alleged to have assaulted a police officer. Police said Long is also alleged to have assaulted ambulance personnel that were transporting her to the hospital. According to the report, Long will face the following charges: three charges of aggravated assault, three charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Animal complaint – 3:50 a.m. – June 3 – Police said they responded to a residence on South Division Street, Mount Union, for a report of a bat flying around the residence. According to the report, the animal was not located.

Crash – 8:15 p.m. – June 2 – Police said they investigated a non-reportable crash at the intersection of North Jefferson Street and West Pine Street, Mount Union. According to the report, a 2000 Nissan, operated by a 17-year-old male, of Mount Union, was stopped in the road to make a turn, and was rear-ended by a 1998 Pontiac operated by Sherry Brown, 46, of Mount Union. Police said damage to both vehicles was minimal there were no injuries reported in the crash.

Theft – May 1-June 10 – Police said unknown suspects stole a 12-foot wide John Deere back hoe from a garage behind the Monroe Township building at 788 Sand Valley Road, Richfield. Anyone with information is asked to call 320-1010.
Accident – 1:35 a.m. -June 11 – Police said Dennis Matic, 52, of Edwardsville, was exiting off the U.S. 22/322 westbound Mifflintown ramp in a 2004 tractor trailer, when he noticed a glowing coming from the trailer. According to a report, Matic stopped went to look at the trailer and noticed it was on fire. Police said Matic used a fire extinguisher and attempted to put the fire out, but was unable to. According to the report, Matic got back into the cab of the truck and traveled on state Route 35 and parked at the Tom’s Service Center, where he unhitched the trailer. According to a report, the Mifflintown Hose Co. extinguished the fire.

Transmission of sexually explicit images by a minor – June 10 – Police said one juvenile male took a photograph of another juvenile male’s genitalia and posted it to a social media website while at Mount Union High School 706 N. Shaver St., Mount Union borough. Charges will be filed at the Huntingdon County Courthouse.

Theft – Noon June 1 – 7 p.m. June 7 – Police said an unknown person stole two rolls of of phone wire from 3506 Sand Valley Road, Richfield, Monroe Township, a property owned by Lee Snyder, 62, of Richfield. According to a report, the wire was a four wire 22 gauge telephone wire and six wire 22 gauge phone wire. Anyone with information is asked to call 320-1010.
Public drunkenness – 4:55 a.m. -June 9 – Police said they were dispatched to 7048 state Route 333, Milford Township, for a subject lying on the roadway. According to a report, Jason Saylor, 38, of Mifflintown, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was later charged with public drunkenness through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline Leister’s office.
Accident – 4:31 a.m. – June 10 – Police said Adam Gearhart, 30, of Lewistown, was traveling east on U.S. 322 at about 55 mph when a deer stepped onto the road and was hit with the front bumper of Gearhart’s 2009 Chevrolet HHR.

Criminal Mischief – 3-10 a.m. – June 8 – Police said an unknown person used a sharp object to scratch a truck belonging to Andrew Stringfellow, while at a residence along Spruce Drive, Oliver Township. According to a report, the investigation is ongoing.

Theft- 1 p.m. – June 2 – Police said money was stolen from inside the vehicle of a 62-year-old woman while at 14139 state Route 235, Greenwood Township. Anyone with information should call 567-3110.
Accident – 5:58 a.m. – June 7 – Police said Kaylee Kellison, 23, of Mifflintown, was driving a 2006 Ford Explorer east on U.S. 322, near the Newport exit in Greenwood Township, when a deer tried crossing the road. According to a report, the vehicle hit the deer with the front bumper of the vehicle, causing disabling damage. Police said neither Kellison nor her passenger Michele Kellison, 43, of Port Royal, were injured in the crash.

Theft – 10:25 a.m. – May 27 – Police said a number of memorial bronze plaques, mostly to commemorate service in World War II, were stolen from graves at the Mount Union Cemetery. Disorderly conduct – 8:04 p.m. – May 26 – Police said they were dispatched to a residence on West Shirley Street, Mount Union, for a report of a domestic dispute. According to the report, as a result of the investigation, police took Susan L. Fortson, 47, of Mount Union, into custody. Police said Fortson was arraigned before an on-call Magisterial District Judge on charges of resisting arrest, misdemeanor disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. According to the report, Fortson was lodged in the Huntingdon County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Accident – 7:51 p.m. – May 26 – Police said they investigated a minor crash in the parking lot of a business located at East Shirley Street, Mount Union. According to the report, owners of the vehicles exchanged information at the scene.
Warrant service – 5:25 p.m. – May 26 – Police said they arrested David Babcock, 22, of Mount Union, for an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by the Huntingdon County Probation Department.

Hit and run – 2:55 p.m. – June 5- Police said a male suspect was driving west in a 2001 Honda Civic on state Route 3005 in Walker Township, Juniata County, and approached a sharp right curve in the road. According to the report, at the same time Tomas Osorio, 51, of Mifflintown, was driving east on state Route 3005 in a 1999 Honda Accord and was approaching a left turn in the road. Police said the suspect was unable to remain on the right side of the road and hit Osorio’s vehicle head on in the east bound lane. According to the report, the suspect fled in the Honda Civic in the east bound lane. Police said the suspect then abandoned the vehicle at the intersection of state Route 3005 and state Route 75 on the north side of the road and fled on foot. According to the report, the Honda Civic was later determined to be a stolen vehicle. Police said Osorio was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash. State police could not confirm whether the suspect had been apprehended as of Sunday night.
Disorderly conduct – 3:09 p.m. – June 5 – Police said they responded to Tuscarora Junior High School for a reported terroristic threat against the school. According to the report, after further investigation, it was determined that a phone owned by Tammy Shuman, 45, of East Waterford, was used to call in a misleading report to the school.
Public drunkenness – 1:38 a.m. – June 7 – Police said they investigated an assault at the Country Line Inn on state Route 22 in Wayne Township, Mifflin County. According to the report, while investigating the assault, police encountered at 40-year-old male, of Mount Union, who showed signs of public intoxication. Police said the man was charged with public drunkenness through Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller’s office and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Crash – 9:10 p.m. June 7 – Police said Jan M. Leister, 45, of McAlisterville, was driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan east on U.S Highway 322 and was on the off ramp to get on the Arch Rock Road Exit. According to the report, as Leister was driving east, a deer came from the north side of the road, onto the off ramp, and collided with Leister’s vehicle head on. Police said as a result of the crash, Leister’s vehicle suffered disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. According to the report, Leister was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.

Accident – 5:52 p.m. – May 22 – Police said a Mazda driven by Julia Shawver, 34, of Mount Union, was hit by a Dodge in the area of U.S. 322 and North Jefferson Street, Mount Union. According to a report, the Dodge caused minor damage to the Mazda and then fled the scene. Police said a witness was able to provide a registration plate for the Dodge and an investigation determined that the Dodge was driven by a 17-year-old Mapleton Depot male.
Accident -5:52 p.m. – May 23 – Police said a 2006 Suzuki, driven by Christie Jeffries, 43, of Shirleysburg, was rear-ended by a 2013 Hyundai, driven by Robert Baker, 90, of McVeytown, along Wrangletown Road near East Shirley Street. According to a report, there were no injuries in the crash.
Domestic disturbance – 7:44 p.m. – May 23 – Police said they responded to reports of a person trying to break into a vehicle at 107 Hartman Village, Mount Union. According to a report, the male was taken into custody and transported to the Mount Union Police Station, where it was determined that the incident was civil in nature. He was warned not to return to the area and was released.
Animal complaint – 12:10 a.m. – May 24 – Police said a loose dog had been caught by residents at 128 W. Market St., Mount Union. According to a report, the owner of the dog was located and the dog was returned, with a warning that future incidents may result in a citation for the dog at large.
Criminal mischief – 5:40 p.m. – May 24 – Police said several headstones apparently were knocked over, some of which had been broken, at Mount Union Cemetery. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (814) 542-8822.
Animal complaint – 7:36 p.m. – May 24 – Police said a concerned citizen reported that a loose dog, along South Washington and West Market streets, was caught and the animal appeared to have been abused and neglected. According to a report, the owner of the dog was identified as Danell Kester, 32, of Mount Union. Police said due to the dog’s condition, the dog was seized by police and transported to the Huntingdon County Humane Society for veterinary evaluation and care. According to the report, charges were filed against Kester for cruelty to animals, failure to license a dog over six months of age, failure to display license on collar, failure to vaccinate against rabies, and confinement of dogs. Police said the dog was signed over to the custody of the Huntingdon County Humane Society by the owner and is reported to be improving in health and welfare.
Warrant service – 9:20 p.m. – May 24 – Police responding to a call about unwanted persons in a residence said an active warrant for arrest from Dauphin County was discovered for one of the individuals, Shaun Decando, 29, of Lewistown. According to the report, Decando was taken into custody and lodged in the Huntingdon County Jail on the warrant.
Assault – 1:17 a.m. – May 25 – Police responding to a domestic complaint call said charges of harassment were lodged against Donald Fortson Jr., after it was determined that he had left marks and bruises on the victim. According to a report, Fortson then left the residence for the night.

Act 64 – 11:55 a.m. – June 4 – Police said a traffic stop was conducted on Arch Rock Road, Fermanagh Township. According to a report, Kevin Moss, 19, of Warrington, was driving the vehicle, with Kevin Raymond, 18, of Chalfont, as the only passenger, and both were found to be in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Police said both were charged through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office.
Public drunkenness – 7:29 a.m. – June 4 – Police said Katherine Marie Schill-Zonts, 26, of Mifflintown, arrived at a residence along Butchershop Road, Fermanagh Township, and indicated to the homeowner that she lived there. According to a report, the homeowner did not know Schill-Zonts and contacted police, who determined that she was under the influence of a controlled substance. Police said charges of public drunkenness and criminal mischief were filed against Schill-Zonts through Magisterial District Judge Barbara M. Lyter’s office and she was transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Harassment – 1:12 p.m. – June 3 – Police said Elizabeth Erinn Ammerman, 25, of Lewistown, allegedly shoved Nichole Lynn Fisher, 29, of Milroy, while at 89 N. Main St., Armagh Township. According to a report, Ammerman is being charged with harassment through Magisterial District Judge Tammy Hunter’s office.
Drug paraphernalia – 1:45 p.m. – June 3 – Police said after investigating a harassment complaint at 89 N. Main St., Armagh Township, it was discovered that Nichole Lynn Fisher, 29, of Milroy, was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. According to a report, charges are being filed through Magisterial District Judge Tammy Hunter’s office.

Criminal mischief – 9:20 p.m. – May 27 – Police said Amanda Lingle, 30, of Lewistown, intentionally spun her tires in a gravel parking lot along 14330 Crogahn Pike, throwing stones onto a vehicle owned by Amy Lape, 36, of Mount Union. According to a report, the stones caused minor damage to the car.

DUI – 11:50 p.m. – April 23 – Police said Michael Flannery, 41, of Mount Union, was stopped on U.S. 522 near East Shirley Street after he was seen driving carelessly. According to a report, Flannery was found to have a blood alcohol content of .139 percent and was charged with driving under the influence.
Criminal mischief – 7:16 p.m. – May 16 -Police said a 14-year-old Shirleysburg girl was seen driving a vehicle and causing damage to the grassy area at Lower Municipal Park, Mount Union. According to the report, the girl caused about $583 in damage.
Noise complaint – 10:48 p.m. – May 17 – Police said a citation for the Mount Union Borough Noise Ordinance was issued against Christopher Yakymac, 36, of Mount Union.
Assault – 4:39 p.m. – May 18 – Police said a citation for harassment has been filed against Kelsey Thompson, 19, of Mill Creek, after a report of an employee of a North Jefferson Street business being assaulted.
Domestic disturbance – 10:34 a.m. – May 20 -Police said they investigated a report of a domestic dispute at 109 N. Jefferson St., where it was determined that there was a verbal argument occurring. According to a report, during the course of the investigation police found an item of drug paraphernalia within the apartment and seized it. Police said William Crawley Jr., 46, of Mount Union, will face charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Domestic disturbance – 5:53 p.m. – May 21 – Police said a verbal argument occurred at 109 N. Jefferson St., and one of the parties was served a temporary protection from abuse order, evicting the person from the residence.
Theft – 11 a.m. – May 21 – Police said charges of access device fraud, theft, and receiving stolen property have been filed against Kimberly Christoff, 33, of Mount Union, after a report of a theft from a bank through the use of a debit card.

Theft – 7:51 a.m.- May 30 – Police said someone took a white 2005 Ford F-350 dump truck from Vega’s Lawn and Landscaping located on 56 Feeder Ave., Lewistown. According to the report, the vehicle was taken overnight and was discovered missing in the morning. Police said the truck is described as having a grey-bed and displays Pennsylvania Registration YRD-1783. According to the report, a pesticide license number of BU8669 is displayed on the front quarter panels of the truck. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 248-1900, ext 613.

DUI- May 31 – Police said Michael Alan Kerr was placed under arrest for DUI after a traffic stop conducted on Mink Lane and big Greenbriar Road, Wayne Township.
DUI – May 4 – 1:45 a.m. – Police said they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a 23-year-old male, of Milroy. According to the report, after an investigation the suspect was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. Police said the investigation continues pending lab results.

Harassment- 1:07 p.m.- May 29 – Police said a male from Newport got into an argument with a female from Millerstown at 15 S. Market St., Millerstown. According to the report, the argument turned physical when the male slapped the female across the face one time. According to the report, the male was charged with harassment.

Theft by deception- Midnight, May 29 – 8:29 p.m., May 30 – Police said Bonnie Dell, of Mount Union, reported a lottery scam that was sent to her through Facebook. According to the report, the investigation continues.
Theft – May 31 – Police said Michael Alan Kerr was placed under arrest for theft in Mifflin County after he stole a white box trailer belonging to a local business in Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County. According to the report, the victim reported the crime when he saw the suspect hauling the trailer on U.S. Highway 22. Police said they were assisted by PSP Lewistown.
