WolfPack drops Indians, 72-34

BOALSBURG — St. Joe’s girls basketball bulldozed Juniata on Thursday, 72-34.

For the Indians, Mylee Landis posted 12 points and Regan Lowrey added 10.

For the WolfPack (14-1), Lauren Himes tallied 18 points and Naomi Crispin added 16. Aubrey Yartz had 14 points and Jacee Cunningham collected 12.

Juniata (10-4) visits West Perry on Saturday.

Huskies split with Wildcats

MECHANICSBURG — Mifflin County junior high boys basketball teams traveled to Mechanicsburg on Wednesday, splitting victories.

The seventh graders dropped the opener 47-26. The Huskies could not overcome a slow start and a hot shooting Mechanicsburg team. Landon Cunningham lead the scoring for the Huskies with 12.

The Husky eighth graders bounced back with a win over the home team by the score of 39-28. The Huskies had balanced scoring with seven Huskies scoring points. Landon Cunningham led the way with 14 points with Rowan Deamer and Justin Cruise each scoring six.

Both teams are home this Saturday as part of the Gold Out Mini-THON day. The seventh graders will tip off at 10 a.m. with the eighth graders following that game against Cedar Cliff.
