Coroner identifies victim in fatal Juniata County structure collapse

MIFFLINTOWN — The Mifflin County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died following a structure collapse Wednesday morning on Kauffman Hill Road in Juniata County.

According to a release issued Friday by Mifflin County Coroner Andrea Alcalde, the victim was identified as Levi A. Yoder, 68, of Maple Lane in Walker Township.

Emergency crews responded to the collapse at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Mifflintown area. Yoder was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The coroner’s office said Yoder died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the collapse.

The manner of death was ruled accidental.

In the release, the coroner’s office thanked emergency responders, medical staff and others involved in the response and care provided following the incident.

No additional information was released.
