Man charged with DUI

YEAGERTOWN — According to a report filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, a 31-year-old Milroy man was charged with driving under the influence after officers conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 BMW Monday, Oct. 27 around 2 a.m. on the first block of South Main Street, Brown Township.

The report states that multiple traffic violations took place, but the male was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Woman charged with child endangerment

MIFFLINTOWN — A 29-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 7, for endangering the welfare of her child. According to the report filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, officers responded to the scene on Mountain View Road, Walker Township, around 6 p.m., after receiving a call that a young child was found in deplorable conditions.

Once on scene officers determined a 5-year-old boy was found outside in severely cold winter conditions with insufficient clothing and was suspected of being outside for a prolonged amount of time. Police said the mother, Emily Willis, Mifflintown, was not supervising her child and was found inside her residence on her phone according to the report.

The case is pending future proceedings.
