LEWISTOWN – Monet or Michelangelo? Maybe. Picasso? Possibly? Or, da Vinci, don’t know for sure. The next great artist might pop up in Mifflin County, but it could take years to reach the artistic level of these greats.

The Mifflin County School District Kindergarten Through Fifth Grade Elementary Art Show was held on Saturday at Lewistown Elementary School, in Lewistown. As per the norm, the school hallways were filled with fabulous pieces and dozens of families and friends. The curious onlookers were interested to see what the elementary artists came up with for this year’s show.

The show highlights works from talented students across the district from East Derry Elementary, Indian Valley Elementary Center, Lewistown Elementary, Lewistown Intermediate and Strodes Mills Elementary schools.

The students definitely did not disappoint.
