Republicans ahead in Juniata Co.
MIFFLINTOWN — According to unofficial election results in Juniata County, Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump led the race by 6,819 compared to Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
A total of 9,901 votes were cast and Harris received 1,489 votes.
This and all results exclude mail-in ballot counts, which were notes available.
In Juniata County, Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver received 52 votes and Green Party candidate Jill Stein received 23 votes. Additionally, Juniata County recorded 29 write-in votes.
In the United States Senator race for Juniata County, voters cast 9,836 votes with Republican candidate Dave McCormick in the lead by 6,230 votes compared to Democratic candidate Robert P. Casey Jr. Casey received 1,666 votes in Juniata County while Libertarian candidate John Thomas received 176 votes, Green Party candidate Leila Hazou received 44 votes, and Constitution Party candidate Marty Selker received 47 votes. Juniata County voters cast 7 write-in votes for the United States Senatorial race.
Republican candidate Dave Sunday led the Attorney General race with 7,954 votes which is 6,430 more than Democratic candidate Eugene Depasquale who received 1,524 votes.
Libertarian candidate Robert Cowburn received 136 votes, Green Party candidate Richard L. Weiss received 56 votes, Constitution Party candidate Justin L. Magill received 66 votes, and Forward Party candidate Eric L. Settle received 21 votes. Juniata County voters cast 6 write-in votes out of 9,763 total votes cast.
Auditor General Republican candidate Tim Defoor led the Juniata County race with 8,019 votes out of 9,660 total votes.
Democratic candidate Malcolm Kenyatta who fell behind by 6,722 votes received 1,297 votes.
Libertarian candidate Reece Smith received 182 votes, American Solidarity Party candidate Eric K. Anton received 28 votes, Constitution Party candidate Bob Goodrich received 127 votes. Seven write-in votes were also cast.
State Treasurer Republican candidate Stacy Garrity led with 8,198 votes out of 9,619 votes.
Democratic candidate Erin McClelland fell behind by 6,995 votes and received 1,203 votes.
Libertarian candidate Nickolas Ciesielski received 105 votes, Constitution Party candidate Troy Bowman received 80 votes, and Forward Party candidate Chris Foster received 26 votes. Voters cast 7 write-in votes.
Also, Republican candidate John Joyce led the race for the Representative in the 13th congressional district with 8,206 votes out of 9,715 votes.
Democratic candidate Beth Farnham received 1,499 votes but fell behind by 6,707 votes. Juniata County voters cast 10 write-in votes.
In the race for the Representative in the general assembly in the 85th legislative district, Republican candidate David Howe led with 2,094 votes, 1,811 more votes than his Democratic opponent Nick Jacobson.
Candidate Jacobson received 283 votes and voters cast 3 write-ins.
Republican Perry A. Stambaugh ran unopposed for the race for the Representative in the general assembly in the 86th legislative district receiving 6,676 votes out of 6,851 votes. One hundred seventy-five write-in votes were cast.
Juniata County voters also voted on referendums. The first Mifflintown Borough Council referendum received 138 yes votes and 118 no votes out of 256 total votes.
The second Walker Township local option referendum received 564 yes votes and 426 no votes out of 990 votes.
