¯Warrant — According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, a 41-year-old man was found and arrested on a local warrant after a call for service.
According to the report, the arrest happened at 10 a.m. on Aug. 17 in Lewistown, at the home of Adam Dashem. Tyler Zong, 34, and Isabella Maninno, 19, were located in residence at the time of the arrest; both individuals were arrested for other criminal violations.
All three individuals were taken to Mifflin County Corrections Facility, according to the report.
¯Firearms violation –According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, Erica Alters, 40, was arrested on a search warrant.
According to the report, the investigation happened on March 2021, in Lewistown, East Walnut Street, at the home of Alters. Officers from the Lewistown Police Department, Mifflin County Drug Task Force and officers from the Pennsylvania State Police recovered a handgun during the search.
Officers determined that the handgun belonged to Alters during the investigation. According to the interview conducted by officials on the scene, Alters provided the firearm to the owner of the residence and was prohibited from possessing firearms.
Alters was charged with firearms ownership, duty of other persons and a felony of the third degree. She was then arrested on Aug. 14 and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
¯Hit and run –According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, Esther Homan, 81, is accused of a hit and run.
According to the report, the crash happened at 9:52 a.m. on Aug. 13.
The report shows that Homan’s vehicle, operating in the left lane along West Third Street in Lewistown, struck a vehicle that was in the right lane. Homan changed lanes into the right lane, striking the other vehicle. She failed to stop and turned right onto North Grand Street after causing minor damage to the other vehicle.
Homanís maroon 2016 Chevrolet Equinox was spotted by a third party who took pictures of the crash. Officers arrived at Homanís last known address, only to find that she since moved from the residence. According to the report, officers attempt to locate Homan to obtain her insurance information and complete the crash investigation.
¯Hit and run –According to a report from Lewistown Police Department, Kevin Haines, 49, is accused of a hit and run.
Police said the crash happened at 8:49 p.m. on July 30 on West Fourth Street in Lewistown. Haines struck a parked minivan when driving a black Chevrolet pickup truck at the reported area, police said.
The man left the scene without exchanging information with the owner of the minivan. Haines was charged with multiple violations relating to the offense.
