Nation must not worship false idols

To the editor: When I look at what is happening in our country I can see some similarity to the nation of Israel and the sin of worshiping idols. There were many idols (false gods) that were in the Gentile nations around them. When they were in Egypt and understood the idols that they worshiped we can see that each one of these plagues were not only against the Egyptian people but a defeat of the gods they worshiped. To the editor: Mr. Geedey, to your letter in the July 26 edition of the Sentinel: The main topic of the letter you referred to was the hypocrisy laden policy of the progressive left. Gun deaths bad — vacuum abortion deaths good. The collective absurdity of progressive logic is not being able to correlate between common sense and statistics. Writer clarifies message of letter

Editor’s note: Dave Quay’s letter to the editor published Monday was edited for length. The change removed some historical context regarding Nikita Khrushchev, First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964. To the editor: I recently received an email that took me back to the possible Russian atomic bomb attack practices (foolishly under our desks) in my elementary school in the 1960s.
