Don’t believe the right-wing propaganda

To the editor: This is in response to the letter published on March 12 from Steve Wagner. Wow, Mr Wagner, you don’t often get a letter published but when you do, you can certainly see who is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. The right wing propaganda/brainwashing that is often in letters from the (far) right wing such as yours can be seen through the comments contained in the missive. Now to your comments on changing our life and needing oil. Really Mr. Wagner? Let me ask you this, have you heard of car pooling, or walking or riding a bicycle, the last two of which do not ...

Let’s not allow history to repeat itself

To the editor: The past two weeks all we’ve heard about on the news, be it CNN, MSN or Fox is Ukraine. Stories ranging from the refugee crisis to (Ukraine president Volodymyr) Zelensky arming civilians. In the midst of it all I’m seeing people in the U.S. begin to demand action. Last week a Mr. Brittain wrote a letter saying he wants us to become involved militarily. He’s not alone, more and more people on both sides of the aisle are calling for action which in the long run translates to WWIII I believe. But these calls to action trouble me to say the least. I’m not ...

Liberal progressives do not live in reality To the editor: George Fisher, climate change is real, however, the world will not end in 10 years as your shepards tell you. Fear is the progressive’s sledgehammer. The sky is not falling. Your tirade was frivolous with little merit. Everything in life is about change. Our current government has gone from paying people more to stay home than go to work! Now some of them don’t want to work! Local companies are looking, advertising and begging for help right now! Please, Mr. Fisher, help those poor people out and drag them to find a ...

Recent writer needs to see what’s going on

To the editor: Mr. George Fisher, where do I start? Let me see. You spew this far-left nonsense almost weekly. I need to respond, so here goes. Climate change is probably real, I’ll give you that. It has to be getting warmer here on earth, more people, more cars, more factories, more everything. However we cannot change our way of life in a matter of a few years. Maybe down the road we can find other sources of energy, The sun, wind, nuclear, all have their own set of problems. We need the oil-based energy now, not years down the road. I know we need to get rid of buying it ...

I vote ‘no’ to Democrats’ march toward socialism To the editor: Yes, Mr. Becht, I am one of those you accuse of being ‘The ‘NO’ people! I say no for I refuse to accept: Open borders; COVID mandates; higher gas prices; CRT; brainwashing of our kids by school administrators pushing deviant indoctrination in place of actual education; illegal voters; non-elected bureaucrats imposing mandated directives in opposition to a citizen’s free will of expression. I could go on and on. Each of those points you raised were not at all surprising for they followed the yellow ...

Liberal policy failures have caused this mess To the editor: To the liberal progressive speaker in Tuesday’s Sentinel, Mr. Becht to follow your logic and belief, people on the right would have to consider these points. Who is going to pay for “affordable” (subsidized) health care, eye, dental and education”? This country can’t afford anymore free. Look what has been done in one year giving away money! You’re the one who sounds like a 5-year-old saying give me, give me, give me. That, sir, is a snowflake mentality! Grow up and pay your own bills. Do we want America to ...
