Editor's note: Dave Quay's letter to the editor published Monday was edited for length. The change removed some historical context regarding Nikita Khrushchev, First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964. Mr. Quay also stated that his message was intended for all, not just those of a particular political persuasion.
The remainder of his original letter:
The opening statement by Nikita Khrushchev and printed Aug. 8 was made when Russia was a much powerful country. Russia is not as much of a threat to our country now as it was in the 1960s.
But in today's world another country, China, has taken this mantra and is actively influencing these levels of control which will eventually result in the destruction of the United States of America. China is much more powerful and threatening than Russia ever was.
The Biden administration is even assisting in China's growing influence inside the U.S. The big, unpopular push of Biden's green climate change policies benefits China much more than the U.S. The Biden's administration is removing us from energy independence and force-feeding their green climate policies on Americans citizens. Much of the solar panel and windmill manufacturing is controlled by the Chinese government and other Asian countries. So, the inflation and increased taxes being forced on the American people as result of this policy change is an amazing asset for the Chinese economy.
In reference back to Khrushchev's statement, we Americans, (Republicans, Democrats, Independents and whoever else somehow votes) need to evaluate the potential for his prophetic demise of the United States of America.
The patriotic upheaval by the American public after the Sept. 11 attacks needs to once again occur in reaction to evaluating the Khrushchev statement. With the present socio-economic and political conditions in our country, this prediction is not far from occurring. It is time for Americans to somehow realize that there are more dangerous adversaries striving to destroy the U.S.
Because of this country's liberal citizenship philosophies, I believe that this reversal is almost impossible. Since the Biden administration has created so much more conflict between the citizens' political beliefs, I believe we are seeing the beginning of Khrushchev's statement. I believe that the only way that our country can avoid Mr. Khrushchev's prediction is for our liberal Democrats to hear the prediction and also become aware of the nine levels of control that communistic governments enforce. I would hope that when these individuals would see the prediction and the nine levels of control that they would have a "come to Jesus moment" and realize that their support for the Biden administration and their ideals are fulfilling Khrushchev's statement and the nine levels of control of a communistic government.
Many Americans are ignorant and unaware of this long ago statement by Nikita Khrushchev. Would it not be a great patriotic idea for the media organizations of this country to publish and re-announce this statement to the American public?
