To the editor: It is a funny old world, the Republicans make the claim that whenever a mass or school shooting happen that the shooter always has a mental health issue. They offer thoughts and prayers that don’t do anything then nothing else. To the editor: Just a few facts for those supporters of “The Green New Deal” to consider. The environmental effects of the manufacturing of the batteries is the most polluting part of an EV. Not only are they a polluting factor in the mining of the rare earth substance needed to make said batteries, but you have the carbon footprint of this method of the mining.
