To the editor:
The Lewistown Kiwanis Club would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2022 Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and Christmas Parade a success. It would not have been possible without your hard work and dedication. We were happy to see so many participants and spectators come out and enjoy these annual festivities.
We would like to offer a special thanks to: Lewistown Borough for helping us obtain a parade permit; City Hook and Ladder for setting up barricades; Lewistown Police Department for participating; Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau for fielding phone calls and promoting these events; First United Methodist Church for allowing us to use their facilities; Rich Coast Coffee for donating coffee and supplies; Kish Bank for sponsoring the posters; Giant Stores, Weis Market, Big Lots and Sharp Shopper for donating candy for the parade; The Lake Dealerships and Blaise Alexander Subaru for providing vehicles for our division drivers; The Sentinel for advertising these events; Merf Radio, Big Foot Country, Big Lewie, and WCHX, WKVA, Star Country Radio for promoting these events; the parade judges provided by the Ladies of the Elks Lodge No. 663: Keri Whitsel, Kim Shoop, Amy Smith, Marcy Kitting, and Phyllis Wagner for volunteering their time; Larry Knepp, Exulted Ruler of the Elks, for providing a trailer for the judges stand; MCHS Key Club for volunteering and participating; Commissioners Rob Postal and Kevin Kodish for participating; Pennsylvania Army National Guard for participating; the award-winning Mifflin County High School marching band for participating and Band Director Art Belfiore for his hard work and dedication; Santa Claus for taking time out of his busy schedule to participate; and all spectators and participants.
We have attempted to make this list complete. Please forgive us if we have failed to mention anyone. We appreciate all of those whose hard work and dedication made the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast and Christmas Parade a success. We simply could not have done it without you!
