Thank you for donations to AGF To the Editor: The Alternative Gift Fair Committee of the East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church in Reedsville would like to sincerely thank all those who donated to the 2023 AGF. The Alternative Gift Fair raised money this year for 18 non-profit organizations. Those groups are working both locally and around the world doing things like feeding our neighbors, providing shelter and support to those in crisis, caring for animals and encouraging children to learn, to name just a few of the missions they undertake. How can we know God according to Bible? To the Editor: How do we know GOD? We can know of GOD because he is revealed to us in creation (Ps.19:1-2; Acts.14-15; Rom. 1:18-20). We can know of GOD because he is revealed to us by his prophets for they are His messengers (2 Kings 17:13; Ps.103:70). We can know of GOD because He is revealed to us through the teaching of His Son for, He was declared by Him (Jn.1:18; Heb.1:1-2). National political candidates are joke To the Editor: I read a lot of letters to the Editor about politics in the past. But, my thoughts are this, back when Clinton was in office the Republicans tried to impeach him. But, they know they didn’t have the votes to do it. But still they wasted tax dollars and time, doing it anyway. Then along comes Trump. Democrats did the same thing. They didn’t have enough votes. The Democrats realize they cannot run on their record and are in trouble for 2024 thus the continued blatant false accusations in an attempt to destroy Trump. The Pew Research Center, Aug. 22, 2023, states the Republican choice for the president doing the best job in the past 40 years was Regan (41%) and Trump (37%).
