How can we know God according to Bible?

To the Editor:

How do we know GOD? We can know of GOD because he is revealed to us in creation (Ps.19:1-2; Acts.14-15; Rom. 1:18-20). We can know of GOD because he is revealed to us by his prophets for they are His messengers (2 Kings 17:13; Ps.103:70). We can know of GOD because He is revealed to us through the teaching of His Son for, He was declared by Him (Jn.1:18; Heb.1:1-2). He has been revealed in each of these ways at different times throughout history since the beginning and has been rejected by most.

So how do we truly know GOD? Since none seek after GOD (Rom.3:11). GOD must then draw unto Himself (Jn.6:44). He does this by changing our heart of stone into a heart of flesh (Ezek.36:26-27). This He accomplishes by the work of the Holy Spirit as He works within our hearts and we are born again (Jn.3:5-8). This new birth makes us willing (Ps.110:3) to repent of our sins and call upon the name of the LORD and believe in our heart that GOD has raised Him from the dead and be saved (Rom.10:9). "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom10:10). Thus, we know GOD and are known by Him (1Corth.8:3).
