MILESBURG — A free mobile shredding event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the Milesburg Community Center, 101 Mill St.

The event, held in partnership with the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority, allows residents to safely dispose of documents containing personal information. Attendees are asked to bring paper in disposable boxes or bags, which will not be returned. Materials will be unloaded on-site and transported for immediate shredding.

Donations will be accepted for the YMCA of Centre County Military Share Food Distribution program, which supports veterans, their families and active-duty service members. Preferred items include rice, canned soup, vegetables, tuna and boxed macaroni and cheese.

The event is open to the public.
