Police respond to identity theft
BEAVER SPRINGS — Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating an identity theft reported June 2 along Middle Creek Road in Spring Township.
According to police, a 63-year-old Beavertown woman reported her personal information had been stolen after troopers responded to 3011 Middle Creek Road at about 8:28 p.m. The investigation is continuing.
Driver injured in Route 235 crash
BEAVER SPRINGS — A Beavertown woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash June 10 on Route 235 in Spring Township, Snyder County.
Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove said Anna M. Weaver, 20, was traveling north at a suspected high rate of speed when she passed another vehicle on a wet roadway and lost control while negotiating a slight left curve. Police said the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, spun into a wooded area, struck branches and a tree, and came to rest in a ditch.
Weaver, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered suspected minor injuries but refused transport to a medical facility. Her 2014 Kia Optima was towed from the scene. Police cited her for driving at a safe speed.
McClure man charged with harassment
McCLURE — Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove charged a McClure man with harassment following an incident June 23 in West Beaver Township, Snyder County.
According to police, troopers responded to 4466 Ridge Road at about 8:34 p.m. for a reported harassment. John Hostetler, 25, of McClure, was charged with summary harassment involving physical contact following an incident with a 37-year-old Beaver Springs man.
Lewistown woman cited after Juniata Terrace crash
JUNIATA TERRACE — A Lewistown woman escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash June 22 in Juniata Terrace Borough.
According to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, Chelsea M. Osman, 38, was traveling north on state Route 103 and attempting to turn right onto Delaware Avenue when she drove off the left side of the roadway and struck two concrete retaining walls before coming to a stop.
Osman, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Her 2011 Volvo S60 was disabled and towed from the scene. Police cited her for driving at a safe speed.
