First Bakers UMC to host Bible study
McCLURE — First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The church will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

The Upper Room Worship Center will have a guest speaker on April 26 at 10:30 a.m. Our guest speaker is Dr. Peter Wyns from South Carolina. Wyns was also the guest speaker in August 2025 for the tent revival held at Belleville Christian School grounds.
Dr. Wyns is an international speaker, teacher and author. He and his wife Joy are senior pastors at Antioch International Church in Fort Mills, South Carolina, and president and director of the ministry for Christians for Messiah Ministries, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
In 2003, Dr. Wyns joined Derek Prince Ministry, serving as the director of ministries. He ministered across the USA and also led their Hispanic work around the world. This was a special blessing since Derek Prince was his grandfather.
Dr. Wyns founded a Christian school and discipleship ministry called Foundation Training Institute in Canada. He extends apostolic oversight to dozens of congregations and ministries.

Juniata County Christian Education Released Time program enrollment
JUNIATA COUNTY — The Juniata County Christian Education Released Time Program began in early October and will hold weekly classes until the end of April 2026. Enrollment is open all year long for 1st grade to middle school students in Juniata County. Interested parents or guardians may pick up enrollment forms at their public school office, fill them out and return them to their children’s school office. If you have questions, call Rev. Resurrection OPC extending its ministry
LEWISTOWN- Resurrection Orthodox Presbyterian Church, located in State College, is looking to extend its ministry of Biblical preaching, God-centered worship, and serious Christianity for real life into Lewistown and the surrounding Mifflin and Juniata Counties region.
Resurrection: Lewistown is holding weekly Sunday morning worship services at 9:30 a.m. at the LUMINA Center gymnasium (18 E. 3rd St.). BEAVERTOWN — Helping Hands, Helping Others, Inc. will be holding a food giveaway on Tuesday, April 21 beginning at 10 a.m. at Beaver Lutheran Church, Rte. 522 at the west end of Beavertown. National Day of Prayer observance
McALISTERVILLE — A National Day of Prayer service will be held at 12:10 p.m., Thursday, May 7 at the flag pole in Lost Creek Park, McAlisterville. Mr. Brian Pannebaker will be in charge. Please bring lawn chairs if you have difficulty standing on uneven ground for a long period of time. In case of inclement weather, the prayer gathering will be held in the gray dining hall in the park.

“Rejoicing Spirits” is an innovative and inclusive ministry, offering a lively and meaningful Christian worship service and fellowship time. The service is modified to more readily engage people with disabilities, but remains inspiring and meaningful to everyone who attends, including family, friends and the local supportive community.
• Rejoicing Spirits will be held Sep. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 18 and Dec. 9. All dates at 10 a.m.
“Create” is a monthly gathering of God’s creative creation. Bring your own supplies or use provided supplies. Experience is not necessary, just a passion for expressing faith through art.

GriefShare at Allensville Mennonite Church
BELLEVILLE — GriefShare at Allensville Mennonite Church, 1156 Rte. 655, Belleville, runs Sundays through May 17 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you will discover what to expect in the days ahead and what is “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you will learn helpful ways of coping and gain solid support each step of the way.
