Lewistown Borough discusses West Water St sidewalk plan
LEWISTOWN–Jim Zubler spoke to the Lewistown Borough Council Monday night, about the West Water Street sidewalk project.
Zubler said that the project is currently looking to be bid out to allow for the next phase to begin. The biding for the sidewalk project is expected to be done by the first of the year. Zubler also discussed the state of the sidewalk project updates going on from South Main Street to Juniata Street.
The counicl then broke for executive session to discuss the litigation with the Municipal Authority and personnel matters. The executive session lasted approximately 45 minutes.
When the meeting was called back into session, a motion was made to recommend the termination of the Borough Manager effective immediately. The motion was seconded and approved. A second motion followed that asked to give the power of directing staff to the President Venus Shade and Vice President Dave Campbell in the interim of not having a Borough Manager. That motion was also approved. The board also approved the motion to hire a Fiscal/External consultant at the rate of $25 per hour.

¯Approved the purchase of Biotank Motor for WWT from Witmer for $8,329.48.
