Violence will continue without gun control

To the editor: Each time there is a mass killing in the United States, people fearing for their safety purchase more guns. The more fanatical among them purchase AR type semi automatic rifles, high capacity magazines, and loads of ammunition. Since there is a high correlation between the number of this type of gun and mass murders, it is a pattern that is self perpetrating. The response from the right is also a pattern. To the editor, The answer to the question asked by The Sentinel’s editorial in the June 27 paper of who was Biden trying to please by his decisions on solar panels is the Biden family enterprise. With the facts that have been gathered from Hunter Biden’s laptop, it is obvious to anyone with a brain in their head and who has been following the news. With Hunter’s connection to companies run by the Chinese Communist Party and the millions of dollars he has been making off of them, it is easy to understand. Penny Bazaar support appreciated

To the editor: The Milroy Fire Company and Siglerville Baseball teams would like to thank all those involved in our first Penny Bazaar and Summer Celebration. Thank you to all the local business who donated merchandise or gift cards. Also thank you to the individuals who collected the many items and donations to make this event a success. A large number attended and bought tickets at the Penny Bazaar. We look forward to next year’s event, to be held June 16 and 17, 2023. We thank everyone for your continued support. Toeing party line not always the best choice

To the editor: Ms. Joan Loewen, in her June 29 response to Charles Deibert, assures us that illegal immigrants are “Lawfully admitted”. (The work of lawyers.) Also, we hear that various municipalities, here and there, have approved voting by non-citizens. (This again the work of lawyers.) Let us forget the lawyers, Ms. Loewen. What do you think of the current influx of hundreds of thousands of strangers, which seems to go on without any hint of stopping in the near future? Do you approve that certain of these people are given the right to vote, the premiere right of a citizen? ...

Study some history

To the editor: This is a reply to Mr. Fisher’s letter in the Sentinel on June 8. There is a reason why you need to be tested for a driver’s license. It is to make sure you know the rules of the road. Other aspects of our lives should be tested as well, so we “all” know what the rules are. Like the rules of government for instance (P.O.D. and Civics are no longer taught in schools). The only problem is some people can’t see the forest for the trees. It is obvious some people have no clue how and why our government was formed. People who think people with common sense want ...
