Fifty-year con job

To the editor: As the American public bickers among themselves over the abortion issue. Republicans in Congress have already devised plans to end the medicare system in five years. They agree it’s time to throw your lazy grandparents off the government dole, (diviso er imperium). And while we’re addressing those loafers on Medicare, Senatior Rick Scott, (R-FL) has proposed legislation to end the Social Security System in five years. After all, the elderly, the disabled, widows and orphans no longer work to enrich the Wall Street banksters. What use are they if they don’t ...

Facts questioned about caged kids, voters

To the editor: This letter is in response to the letter by George Fisher in the July 1 edition of The Sentinel. The facts about the kids in cages you mentioned in your letter is this: Those pictures published in the liberal press of kids in cages were actually pictures taken while Obama was president and passed of as during Trump’s presidency. There is also a video of A.O.C. supposedly crying over children behind a chain link fence. It turns out that that particalur video didn’t even happen at the border. It was manufactured for political effect. In other words, it was a lie! ...

Experts often wrong on climate change

To the editor: With all this hype from the left in this country and around the world about man-made global warming and green energy, I want to let any reasonable thinking people know what is really happening. The Earth has been warmer in the past than what it is now and when it was, the Earth’s population was a lot smaller. Also at that time, no one was driving around in SUVs, big pickup trucks and burning a lot of gasoline or diesel fuel. As a matter of fact, there were no coal-fired power plants making electricity either. Who gets to determine what the ideal temperature is for ...

Comparing gun laws to traffic laws

To the editor: This is in response to Michael Spahr’s letter that was published on July 6. In his first paragraph Mr. Spahr states that the reason to be tested for a driver’s license is “to make sure you know all the rules of the road.” Really, Mr. Spahr, so why not make sure that a person before they obtain a gun knows all the safety issues for owning that object that is only made to kill, are you actually afraid that people would fail that test? Are you afraid that no one would be able to get a gun due to failing that object? Don’t answer because quite honestly I and I ...

Holiness is the realm of God

To the editor: Holiness is the essence of God’s character and being. Being Holy He is perfect in all that He is and all that He does. His word is absolute Truth (Jn 17:17) and He cannot lie (Titus 1:2; Num 23:19). Being Holy He cannot change (Ja. 1:17; Mal. 3”6, Ps/ 33:11), for change would show that He is not perfect and thus not Holy. Because He is Holy He cannot approve evil or look upon wickedness with favor (Hab. 1:13). He hates all sin, He is angry with the wicked everyday (Ps. 7:11) the sacrifice, ways, thoughts, and prayers of the wicked are abomination to Him (Prov. ...

Gun violence vs. respect for life

To the editor: At a July 4 parade some one opened up on the crowd with a rifle and killed six people and injured many others. It was terrible thing! Already the cries are out there about gun control. But is the gun control the real answer? The young man in custody for the crime has no respect for human life or he would not have done such a thing. Why possibly is that the case? Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe V.Wade, and even before when it was rumored that it would be, there have been massive demonstrations some turnign violent against that decision. Imagine, people, ...
