Please preserve historic Bratton Cemetery To the Editor: Recently, I was in the Juniata Valley seeking to discover genealogy information and see where my ancestors settled in the mid-1700s. I was in awe of the natural beauty all around. The drive up the ridges and the views down into the valleys of Mifflin County were simply stunning. How blessed you are to be surrounded by such glory. Data centers have no place in our community To the Editor: Recently, the proposals for data centers to be built across Pennsylvania have been in the news with both support and opposition. I wanted to educate myself on data centers, both advantages and disadvantages. Here is what I found. Data centers offer advantages only to the technological companies that build them. Cell phones, mob violence are easily regulated To the Editor: Now that you have elected me chief justice of everything, I would like to issue the following regulations regarding cell phones. Since the use of cell phones has been shown to contribute to mob violence, they will, like firearms, be regulated. A purchaser of a cell phone will be identified by the usual contact information along with an updated photo. Thank you to contributors to meat canning project To the Editor: Our Annual Meat Canning Project is finally complete. We canned 36,000 pounds of chicken which produced 22,540 cans of product. This number puts our total to 863,959 cans of canned meat since our beginning in 1975. May God bless and keep all who have supported, and all those who will receive these cans. In March, we will be distributing 93 cases of meat to our 14 local organizations.
