LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Talia Ross threw a no-hitter in game one and the Lock Haven softball team belted five home runs on the day in a 8-0, 4-1 sweep of Mansfield in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader at Lawrence Field on Wednesday. It was the first race of the new PA Posse Sprint Car Series and 38 cars filled the pits. Track promoters agreed not to race against each other during series races, so Lincoln Speedway was not racing sprints on Saturday. PGC unveils deer harvest estimates

Pennsylvania hunters harvested about 6% more deer in the 2025-26 hunting seasons than they did the year before, according to Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates. The statewide 2025-26 deer harvest was estimated at 505,600 deer, 185,310 of them antlered and 320,290 antlerless. By comparison, the statewide 2024-25 harvest was estimated at 476,880 deer. The year-over-year increase is equally attributable to rises in the antlered and antlerless deer harvests. Both were about 6% higher than the year before.
