LEWISTOWN–Mifflin County boys basketball hosted Selinsgrove Friday night and despite a tough effort from the Huskies, the Seals took the 56-51 win.

Jack Curry put eight up on the scoreboard, Aidan Attivo added seven for the Huskies, Zach Keller put up five and Jaylen Bowersox added three.

“I am proud of the way our team competed in the second half,” Mifflin County head coach Wade Curry said. “Our discipline on defense and attack mentality on offense changed the game for us. We won the second half, 27-19. The first half we gave up 12 points on run outs that really hurt us in the stretch.”

For the Seals, Ries Naugle had a game-high in points with 23, followed by Jace Diehl who put up 10. Gavin Bastian added eight points for the Seals, Xaivier Jackson added six to the scoreboard and Luke Piecuch put seven points up.

“We will grow from this loss,” Curry added. “The mistakes we made tonight are correctable and our team understands the commitment necessary to close the gaps on our mistakes. Hats off to Selinsgrove they played a tough game.”
