It was a heartbreaking day in two baseball and softball championship games for high school teams from the Juniata Valley.

Mount Union lost to Bald Eagle Area 11-0 in five innings.The Trojans had an amazing season, but they fell one win short of a PIAA Class 2-A championship at Medlar Field at Penn State Saturday. Mount Union finished the year at 25-3, with all three losses coming to BEA.

Juniata dropped a 1-0 decision to Mid Valley in the 3-A final Saturday. The Indians ended up 25-4 after losing at Penn State’s Beard Field at Nittany Lion Softball Complex.
