Huskies drop 2 in finale

MILLERSBURG — The Mifflin County Junior High volleyball team traveled to Millersburg Thursday afternoon for its final game of the season.
The seventh grade Huskies fought hard but lost in two sets, losing 22-25 and 17-25. Quinn McCracken and Ava Moyer each had a team-high three kills with Josilyn Berry adding a kill. McCracken also had three digs while Moyer added two aces. The seventh grade team finished their season with a 5-7 record.
The eightth grade Huskies also fell in two sets to a solid Millersburg team, losing 14-25 and 16-25. Defensively, the group was led by Addyson Marks who tallied a team-high 11 digs. Offensively, the Huskies were led by Sarah Hartsock who dished out 11 assists and Grayce Napikoski who recorded eight kills. Napikoski also chipped in with seven digs while Marks added two aces.
The Huskies finished their season with a 9-3 record and a championship win in the Waynesboro Tournament earlier this month.
