Church offers drive thru event

McVEYTOWN — The McVeytown Ministerium churches are creating a unique drive through Christmas story featuring the story of Jesus.

All are invited to drive through McVeytown with their stations tuned to 90.5 FM and hear the story of the first Christmas and see creative creations from local churches depicting the story.

The event will begin at the corner of Crisswell and Dull streets, continuing down Dull onto John Street, and ending on Queen Street by the McVeytown Presbyterian Church.

There will be you can see seven scenes from the Bible about Jesus’ birth.

It began Sunday, Dec. 13 and will run through Epiphany, Jan. 6, 2021 each night between 6 and 8 p.m.

Services canceled due to COVID

¯REEDSVILLE — Indoor services for United Methodist Churches of Reedsville, Church Hill and Milroy are canceled until the new year. Church Hill United Methodist, 199 Woodland Circle, Reedsville, will offer10 a.m. outdoor parking lot worship on Sundays. Congregants will gathering in cars and listen to sermons on 98.3 FM. All are welcome to attend. Also available on Facebook live sunday mornings at 10 a.m. on Methodist Church Reedsville Milroy page.

¯LEWISTOWN — Trinity United Methodist Church, 428 S. Main St., Lewistown, is canceling all services through the end of the year.

¯BELLEVILLE — Big Valley Alliance Church Community in Belleville has canceled services for the month of December.
