LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County Commissioners will hold a public hearing Aug. 6 on a proposed amendment establishing requirements for data center development under the county’s subdivision and land development ordinance. State awards Altoona Curve $1.9 million for field renovations

ALTOONA — The Altoona Curve will receive $1.9 million in state funding to renovate the playing field at Peoples Natural Gas Field, state Rep. Andrea Verobish, R-Blair, and state Sen. Judy Ward, R-30, announced. Diamond Baseball Holdings LLC, which owns the Curve, will use the funding to remove the existing playing surface, excavate beneath the field and replace its irrigation and drainage systems.
