Supervisors discuss mini golf course improvements

LEWISTOWN — The Derry Township Board of Supervisors heard positive updates on the Kish Park mini golf course and discussed course improvements at their Monday meeting. Park Manager Josh Garver said the course is busy every day and he has heard from people that they visited the course on multiple occasions. “And we aren’t even done yet,” said Garver of the continuous course improvement work. Driver cited after U.S. 322 passing crash REEDSVILLE — No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 322 in Armagh Township on July 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Police said Carl A. Wensel, 66, of Mill Hall was traveling east in a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado when he merged into the left lane without sufficient clearance as another eastbound vehicle, a 2025 Chevrolet Trax driven by Austin L. Motorcyclist killed in Perry County crash

From staff reports LANDISBURG — A 28-year-old Millerstown man was killed Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Shermans Valley Road in Perry County. According to Pennsylvania State Police, James A. Snyder Jr. was traveling east on a 2013 Yamaha motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled onto an embankment and lost control before re-entering the roadway. The motorcycle sideswiped a westbound Honda Civic driven by David L. Carlson Jr., 60, of Loysville. Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene.
