BELLEFONTE -- A free document shredding event and pet supply drive will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority, 253 Transfer Road, Bellefonte.
The event, organized in partnership with state Rep. Paul Takac, will allow residents to securely dispose of personal documents while collecting supplies for Centre County PAWS.
Only paper products will be accepted for shredding. Documents should be placed in disposable containers, which will not be returned.
Requested animal shelter donations include unopened dog and cat food and treats, clean blankets, new pet toys, trash bags, paper towels, xylitol-free peanut butter, medium or large Easy Walk or Freedom harnesses and dog waste bag rolls.
Walk-ins are welcome.
