MIFFLINTOWN — Tourism spending in Juniata County climbed 60% over four years, reaching $46 million in 2024, officials told county commissioners Tuesday. McVeytown man faces life sentence after guilty plea

From staff reports HARRISBURG — A McVeytown man who was previously convicted twice of sexually assaulting children pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing child sexual abuse material, a third-strike offense that will result in a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Zachary P. Keiser, 36, pleaded guilty to a felony count of possessing child sexual abuse material following an investigation by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section.
