The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.
Please be brief and include only basic details. If possible, provide a phone number or email address to be published with contact information.

Tickets ($25 each) will be available Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Juniata County Historical Society Archives, 498 Jefferson St., Suite B, Mifflintown, Pa., 17059 (lower level of county library), or send a self addressed, stamped envelope with a check for ticket(s) to be mailed to you. Ticket sale deadline is Oct. 6.
•Freedom Avenue United Methodist Church/Shining Light Soup Sale -- Pickup Friday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Several varieties available. Cost is $9 per quart. Preorder by calling (717) 953-6352 by Sunday, Oct. 11.
