STATE COLLEGE — The Nittany Valley Writers’ Network will meet Tuesday, May 12, at Schlow Library’s Community Room, 211 S. Allen St.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Editor Kimberly McElhatten will present “Behind the Submission Button,” offering an inside look at the literary submission process and what editors look for in manuscripts and cover letters.

McElhatten, a publishing coach and poet, serves on the editing teams at Brevity and The Fourth River and directs the Writers Conference of Northern Appalachia Book of the Year.
