Auction, scramble – golf or eggs – on tap this weekend

Between potential bidding, possible running and counting strokes (and calories with eating), there are certainly a lot of numerical — maybe even mathematical – events going on this weekend in the Juniata Valley.

It certainly is not for the faint of heart, or anyone fearing digits. Here’s a glance of some things to do:

Belleville Christian School 61st Annual Auction

Belleville Christian School is hosting its 61st Annual Auction on Friday and Saturday. This is an event the entire family will enjoy, with something for everyone. The auction starts at 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. The cost is $400 per team. There will be a meal after golfing and you can enjoy beverages on the course.

Run for Rare Diseases 5K

The Run for Rare Diseases 5K is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. At the Central Pennsylvania Clinic, 115 Maple Grove Road, Belleville, many of the patients have rare conditions, sometimes called “zebra disorders,” that have never been heard of by the general population. This event helps CPC raise awareness for these rare diseases. New this year: A 1/4 mile fun run with no registration required. Register for the 5K at https://centralpaclinic.com/events/2026-5k.
