McClure man charged with making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct

LEWISTOWN — A 21-year-old McClure man has been charged by Lewistown Police Department officers with making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct at 10:56 a.m. on Oct. 18, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers responded to the first block of South Juniata Street in Lewistown after a group of juvenile females alleged a male, later identified as Austin Bowsman, began yelling that he would “Come up there and beat the hell out of you,” the report said, and these comments were made while the male was acting strangely by staring at a tree. The male then began yelling at an older female for no apparent reason, the report said, and this female approached the juveniles and warned them to be safe due to his strange behavior. The male then yelled “I’ll kill you, your momma and your homeboy,” the report said, and the suspect went to Sheetz. Officers checked Sheetz and the male already departed. Officers reviewed surveillance cameras and identified the male as Bowsman.

Mifflintown man charged with having weapon in jail

LEWISTOWN — Pablo Javier Perez-Machado, 27, of Mifflintown, was charged with having weapons or implements for escape and prohibited offensive weapons after staff at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown discovered a toothbrush that was in the process of being sharpened into a point at 1:39 p.m. on Oct. 18, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Officers responded to the report of an inmate who possessed a weapon as correctional staff received a report on Oct. 17 that there was a weapon on one of the blocks, the report said. A facility lockdown was initiated at 9:35 a.m. on Oct. 18, the report said and staff searched the block where the violation was reported. The weapon was found among the possessions belonging to Perez, who admitted to owning the altered toothbrush but could not explain how he altered it, the report said. Perez provided a written statement to jail staff saying that the toothbrush was not a shank and that he used it to scratch his anus, the report said.

Milroy man arrested on warrant

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers received a report of a wanted subject driving a box truck on Valley Street in Lewistown at 4:48 p.m. on Oct. 18, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers observed Charles W. Kuhns Jr., 62, of Milroy, driving the box truck and already confirmed he had an active warrant, the report said. Officers stopped Kuhns on the first block of South Dorcas Street, the report said and Kuhns had a DUI suspended license and consented to a search of his vehicle. Officers found a drug pipe, believed to be used to smoke crack cocaine, in his possession, the report said, and Kuhns was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown on his warrant and charged with drug possession and driving with a DUI suspended license.

Lewistown women charged with possession

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers are charging a pair of Lewistown women with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances after being found in the street while highly impaired from methamphetamine at 3:18 p.m. on Oct. 19, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers responded to 225 Logan St. in Lewistown and spoke with Taleea Sholly, 20, and Kazlynn Campbell, 27, the reports said, and they dropped bags of food on the sidewalk when walking to a nearby residence. Campbell admitted to ingesting methamphetamine and provided officers with a small baggy of methamphetamine she retrieved from her purse, the report said, while Sholly consented to officers searching the items that were still scattered on the sidewalk. Officers located a prescription bottle that contained medications and a container that had marijuana residue, the report said, and these items were located in a purse that had Sholly’s name located in the purse.

Lewistown man cited for public drunkenness

LEWISTOWN — Mark J. Rudebeck, 67, of Lewistown, was cited for public drunkenness after Lewistown Police Department officers were summoned to the train tracks off the 400 block of East Walnut Street in Lewistown for a subject who fell on the tracks and was bleeding at 4:20 a.m. on Oct. 23, according to a release issued on Friday.

The report said Rudebeck refused medical treatment several times and was given a ride back to his residence and Rudebeck told officers that he was arrested for DUI by another agency and he stayed at the hospital after being released from custody. The report said Rudebeck was trying to walk back to his residence from the hospital when he fell.
