SHIPPENSBURG – Jackson Ostrowsky pulled lots of tricks and treats out of his Halloween bag on the gridiron Saturday, making sure it was a haunted Homecoming at Shippensburg’s Seth Grove Stadium.

The Lock Haven University quarterback threw for 334 yards and matched a career-high five touchdown passes in the Bald Eagles’ 35-21 victory over Shippensburg in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division action.

The performance helped Lock Haven even its overall record at 4-4 and the Bald Eagles pushed their way to 3-2 in PSAC East play. Lock Haven has surged in the second half of the season, winning three of its last four games. Shippensburg fell to 2-6 and 2-3 in the PSAC East.

Ostrowsky completed 26-of-36 passes, and Justin Popovich, Jake Roberts, Ezequiel Johnson and Mekhi Watson each caught TD passes.

Roberts finished with seven catches for 115 yards, which included an electrifying 68-yard catch-and-run score that tied the game at 14-14 in the second quarter.

Johnson rushed for 91 yards to go along with two TD catches. His first TD catch gave the Bald Eagles their first lead of the game at 21-14 in the second quarter and his last one clinched the victory early in the fourth quarter.

LucRichard Rameau, Rhys McDonald and Rocco Daugherty led another sensational defensive effort as the Bald Eagles forced three turnovers and recorded four total sacks on the day.

Rameau finished with eight tackles, including 2 1/2 tackles for loss and 1 1/2 sacks, and McDonald also had eight tackles, with 1 TFL and 1 sack. Daugherty finished with eight tackles and an interception. Jaeion Perry also had an interception for Lock Haven.

For Shippensburg, Riley Gunnels was 25 of 37 for 199 yards with two TDs and two INTs for the Raiders. He was also sacked four times. Gunnels’ favorite target was Derek Guzman with seven catches for 73 yards, while Landon Bailey caught a pair of TD passes.

Mifflin County product Cyrell Green did not play for the Raiders and will likely redshirt this season.
