LEWISTOWN — A vehicle collided with a traffic cone that flew at a construction worker in an active work zone on Route 322 west on Monday.

According to a dispatcher from the Mifflin County non-emergency line, the incident occurred at 9:27 a.m. before the Lewistown business exit in the region known as the “Narrows.”

The dispatcher said that following the traffic cone making contact with the worker they were transported from the scene with minor injuries to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

FAME EMS, City Hook and Ladder, and the Mifflin County Regional Police Department responded to the incident.

According to the dispatcher, the Mifflin County Regional Police Department’s investigation into the incident is ongoing.
