MIFFLINTOWN -- Juniata County is seeking a Democrat interested in aiding in the election process in Turbett Township.
Juniata County Voter Registrar/Election Director Eva Weyrich attended the Juniata County Commissioners' weekly meeting on Tuesday morning to give an update on what people can expect this voting season.
She noted that Turbett Township is still in need of a Democratic inspector.
This position is also known as a poll worker whose job duties include opening and closing the polls, assisting with the poll setup, and helping voters by answering their questions and demonstrating how to use the voting equipment.

According to Weyrich, logistic and accuracy testing from Oct. 14 to 16 is a mandatory pre-election process to ensure that voting equipment is functioning correctly and counting ballots accurately.
Voters will be allowed to view this process during public testing slated for Oct. 16 at noon at the Juniata County Courthouse.
On-demand voting begins Oct. 14 through Oct. 28 during the courthouse's regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
"On-demand voting is where a citizen comes into the office directly to complete an application, receive their ballot and vote that same day," said Weyrich.
"Oct. 20 is the last day to vote with election ads being sent to the paper on the 23 of Oct," added Weyrich.
Mail-in ballots are due by Oct. 28.
Weyrich stated that her office will be conducting poll worker training from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the courthouse.
Fayette Township voters can look forward to this year as some of their worn-down booths are being replaced, according to Weyrich.
"Of course, we can't replace them all at once, but a little bit at a time," said Weyrich.
