30-foot sinkhole causes vehicle damage

PORT ROYAL — A vehicle drove into a 30-foot sinkhole in the roadway at state Route 333, just east of Paradise Timbers Lane, Walker Township, according to a report from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown.

The incident caused disabling damage to a 1999 Dodge Ram Pickup truck at about 1:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30.

According to the report, the driver, 25-year-old Christopher Fisher, of Port Royal, was unable to see the hole where the roadway had been. Fisher refused EMS treatment on scene.

Police seeking Allensville resident

ALLENSVILLE — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are seeking information on the whereabouts of 59-year-old Henry Worthington, of Allensville.

Anyone with information is asked to call (717) 320-1010.

According to a report, Worthington has an arrest warrant after officers investigated a report of a person not to possess firearms that took place in August.

A search warrant was served on his residence on East Main Street, Menno Township and additional firearms and firearms accessories were located.

Richfield man facing

animal cruelty charge

RICHFIELD — A 44-year-old unnamed Richfield man was cited for the confinement of dogs on Wednesday, May 8.

According to a report provided by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, animal cruelty/neglect taking place at a residence on Cherry Hill Road, West Perry Township.

The report states that cruelty or neglect could not be confirmed.
