The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.

Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

Submit items at least one in advance via email, events@lewistownsentinel.com; call (717) 248-6741; online, Virtual Newsroom at www.lewistownsentinel.com; or mail or drop off, The Sentinel, 352 Sixth St., P.O. Box 588 Lewistown, PA 17044. The editor reserves the right to edit all submissions.

•Free family movie night -- 7 p.m., Freedom Avenue United Methodist Church. Snacks will be available. All are welcome.

•Graceful Soles Shoe Bank -- 9 a.m.-noon, Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan St. in Lewistown. Children up to age 18 are given a free pair of shoes with verification of low income through medical assistance. Parent or guardian must accompany child.

•Spaghetti dinner -- 3-6 p.m., Granville United Methodist Church, 1341 N. River Road, Granville. Benefits Strodes Mills Elementary School Power Pak Lunch Program. Eat-in, takeout or stop by to make a donation. Preorder: (717) 242-1618.

•Keystone State Muscle Cars‚ 5-8 p.m., new location: between Ollie's and Sheetz in Burnham.

Sunday

•Turkey dinner -- 10 a.m.-

1 p.m. or until sold out, Burnham Lions building, First Ave., Burnham. Takeout only for $12. Turkey, filling, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and green beans.

•Beavertown Historical Society -- open 1-3 p.m. Beavertown High School, Beavertown Public School, Beaver Vocational High School and colleges will be featured in the Beavertown Historical Society Museum. •McCoy House Museum -- Open 1-3 p.m., 17 N. Main St., Lewistown.

•Free movie night -- 6:30 p.m., Reedsville United Methodist Church, 82 E. Logan St. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome. The movie is "The Five People You Meet in Heaven."
