Ministry to support single moms

BELLEVILLE — The Mifflin County Single Moms Care and Support Group will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the second and fourth Fridays at New Life Church Cafe, 101 Beech St., Burnham from Sept. 10, 2021 to May 27, 2022.

Dinner is served from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for mothers and children. Child care runs from 7 to 8 p.m. while mothers meet in a group. For more information, call or text Ann at (717) 437-4946.

Support available for grieving

McVEYTOWN — GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. GriefShare is for 13 weeks and will begin Thursday, March 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pine Glen Alliance Church along state Route 103 near McVeytown. The group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead. Stony Run to host events

McALISTERVILLE — Stony Run Mission Church, 2825 Evendale Hill Road, McAlisterville, will offer the following programs:

¯Feb. 6 — Danny Stouffer sharing at 6 p.m.

¯Feb. 13 — Pastor Ron Landis sharing at 10:15 a.m., Barry Brubaker sharing at 6 p.m.

¯Feb. 27 — 1 Heart 1 Voice singing at 6 p.m.

¯March 13-16 — Revival services with evangelist, Billy Huddleston. Sunday’s services will be at 9:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Services will be at 7 p.m.

¯March 27 — Mercy Run will perform at 6 p.m.

Bakers UMC to host Bible study

LEWISTOWN — First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. They will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

Reedsville UMC to host movie night

REEDSVILLE — Reedsville United Methodist Church, 60 E. Logan St., Reedsville, will host a movie night at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6.

The is film, “God’s Not Dead: we the People.” Reverend Dave is called to defend a group of Christian homeschooling families. He finds himself taken aback by the interference of the government and believing that their right to educate their own children is a freedom worth fighting for, Reverend Dave is called to Washington D.C. to testify in a landmark congressional hearing that will determine the future of religious freedom in our country for years to come. Refreshments will be served.

PORT ROYAL — Port Royal Men’s Lenten Pray Breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. each Saturday in the Port Royal Community building. There will be a $5 charge for breakfast to cover the meal. Speakers will be as follows:

LEWISTOWN — The Sentinel invites area religious leaders to submit columns for “Professions of Faith” in the Sentinel’s weekly religion section.
