Poll workers needed in Mifflin County

LEWISTOWN — Anyone who has ever wondered how elections are conducted and why some places seem to have long wait lines to vote are in luck, because Mifflin County is in need of election poll workers.

Attendees can learn how elections are conducted and potentially be the answer to shortening the long lines.

The following polls in Mifflin County need help for the upcoming general election on Nov. 2: Bratton, Derry-East, Decatur (East and West), Granville-West, Kistler, Lewistown West and Newton Hamilton.

Poll workers do not have to live in that precinct in order to help at that election poll. Workers just have to be willing to go where the help is needed for the day.

Anyone interested in helping at a polling place is asked to call Mifflin County Elections at (717) 248-6571.
