Yoders celebrate 60th anniversary

Daniel R. and Alice C. (Espigh) Yoder, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.They were married on May 7, 1955, at the home of Fenton and Ruth Espigh (the bride's parents), near Pine Glen, by Bishop Raymond Peachey.They have two sons, Lee and wife, Joanne, of Lewistown, and Harold and wife, Melody, of Mifflintown; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.They were honored with a picnic on July 4, hosted by their children and grandchildren at their home near Lockport. Dallas and Joyce (Harshbarger) Tanner, of Strodes Mills, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.They were married on July 3, 1965, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewistown, by the Rev. Robert G. Sander.The special anniversary was celebrated with a surprise family get together at their home, hosted by their children.They are the parents of: Dyann Shilling, Mill Hall; Shari Miller, Lewistown; and Rodney Tanner, Strodes Mills. Swaileses celebrate 30th anniversary

Timothy S. and Melett J. (O'Donnell) Swailes, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.They were married on July 12, 1985, at Evangel Baptist Church, Lewistown, by Pastor John Kulp.They celebrated their special anniversary by taking a rip to Ocean City, New Jersey, and spending time with loved ones.She is employed as the manager of the Walmart Vision Center in Lewistown.They attribute the success of their mariage to love, the ability to live each day to its fullest, and relying on each other from day to day, along with a strong faith.

Donald "Bud" and Nancy (Kline) Adair, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.They were married on May 22, 1965, at Lewistown Glenwood Methodist Church, by the Rev. Herman E. Stenger.They are the parents of two children, Marti Jo Blackburn, of McClure, and Diane Adair, of Yeagertown.He is retired from Standard Steel. She is retired from Capperella Furniture.
