Dallas and Joyce (Harshbarger) Tanner, of Strodes Mills, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married on July 3, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lewistown, by the Rev. Robert G. Sander.
The special anniversary was celebrated with a surprise family get together at their home, hosted by their children.
They are the parents of: Dyann Shilling, Mill Hall; Shari Miller, Lewistown; and Rodney Tanner, Strodes Mills. They have one grandchild.
He is retired from Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home and served in the U.S. Army.
She is a part time bookkeeper for Dunkin’ Donuts, VFW Post 7011 and American Legion Post 90.
They are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lewistown.
They attribute the success of their marriage to caring and sharing each other’s interests.
