Daniel R. and Alice C. (Espigh) Yoder, of Lewistown, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married on May 7, 1955, at the home of Fenton and Ruth Espigh (the bride’s parents), near Pine Glen, by Bishop Raymond Peachey.
They have two sons, Lee and wife, Joanne, of Lewistown, and Harold and wife, Melody, of Mifflintown; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
They were honored with a picnic on July 4, hosted by their children and grandchildren at their home near Lockport. Many family members and friends attended.
Daniel retired from Marlette Homes Inc., after 37 years of service. He enjoys hunting, Sudoku puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren.
Alice was a professional housekeeper for many years, and still works for Dr. Dennis DeVita and his wife. She enjoys reading, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
They are members of the Strodes Mills Mennonite Church.
