Estel Eugene North was born to Frances T. and Bonnie (Young) North on March 21, 1947, in Fredonia, Kan. He was the 5th child in a family of 10 children. He also had six step-siblings. In recent years, his health began to fail and while visiting at Arcadia, Florida, he again had another flare-up of his challenged lungs as well as other health issues and was hospitalized.
